Project Summary

Today’s children are the future of Europe. The future of Europe will be built by their values.Today’s technology brings the people all around the world close to each other. But fast access to commercial culture also takes the children away from the culture of their own country and from European spirit.Arts and Music as a subject in the school curriculum are taken for granted as a must for students in formal education setup but many schools have unfortunately cut down on arts and music in their curriculum.Music,painting,theatre-they are fast disappearing. The coordinating school felt necessity to share good practises on art and music with other European schools in order to keep them alive and connected the partner schools with the same aim via e-Twinning forums. We believe that creative thought and”learning by doing”should be integrated into the curriculum. We also would like our students understand cultural diversity in their country and in Europe better.By the help of this they will be able to learn to work together with the people from different nationalities in harmony and show mutual respect to each other. In our project teachers and students will learn about languages, food, music, dances and art of their own countries and partner countries and make comparisons of cultural aspects of partner countries.Europe has no borders anymore. Our students have a chance to work in other European countries in future. They need to develop their working collaboratively skills to be able to look for a job across Europe. Our students should learn concrete and abstract thinking methodology to improve their minds. We aim to teach our students and teachers how to get from idea to reality, how to work collaborately and create new ideas together. Our students should be more creative and learn how to use this creativity in different areas. In Erasmus+ Programme Guide 2020,it is stated that in the field of school education, priority will be given to “creativity and innovative learning approaches and developing assessment and validation of key competences”And also one of the main objectives in Europe 2020 strategy is”Improving attainment in basic skills”.Starting from this, In LTTs and other school activities students will produce animations, play different kind of games, cook different food and do art and music activities together. And also students in partner countries will meet with local artists. We will invite local artists to our schools. These artists will inspire students and teachers in the partner schools. Our project focuses on both students and teachers. The project activities will help the teachers in the partner schools gain professional development. We will do activities within ICT-skills and teaching languages. The activities of our project will help our students overcome communication and language barriers and express their feelings better. The objectives we would like to achive are:1-To overcome communication and language barriers with help of school activities and LTTs. Another problem we have identified is the lack of opportunities for our pupils to use foreign languages outside the language lessons and the need of our students to develop their ways of learning languages. Learning languages is essential for the Europeans in order to become mobile in terms of education and employment in the future. We want our pupils to to have opportunities to improve their language skills through working with project activities and sharing the work with their peers in the partner countries and communicating with the students from partner countries in LTTs 2-To learn how to be a European Citizen and develop sentiment of European Identity through the project activities and the LTTs 3-Strengthened international dimension and cooperation at schools 4-To develop their key competences such as”thinking and learning to learn”,”cultural competence”,”ICT competence”,”participation and influence, building the sustainable future” by the help of joining school activities and pupil LTTs 5-Strengthen professional profile by learning new methods, sharing good European practises and observing the teaching systems of the partner countries in staff LTTs and e-twinning activities and develop their dijital skills. There will be 1 staff training event(Music,Theatre,Dance,Painting At School) and 4 pupil exchange activities(Sing&Dance/Paint&Create/Cook&Play/Digital Art For Kids) in our 2years’ long project.92 pupils and 44 teachers from Turkey,Belgium,Spain,Italy and Ireland will join these activities.Students will develop 21st century skills which will they can use in future employment, learn to be more creative and work collaboratively.Teachers will develop a greater understanding of how to help students to become creative and innovative. They will feel themselves as European citizens by the help of joining a project funded by EU.Local museums and art galleries will develop links to the partner schools.Local artists and craftsmen will develop better links to school
