Project Summary

We are 5 primary schools from Greece, Finland, Czech Republic, Poland and Spain. Spain is the coordinator. Our target groups of work are 6-12 years.

CONTEXT: The guiding theme of the project is Art, so regardless our students’ skills or learning difficulties, everyone can participate somehow. This project combines new methodologies and gamification through ICT to be used in regular lesson with the increase of the students’ motivation. In the project all participating schools will use ICT, new methodologies and gamification. Our schools expertises and needs are complementary so we will learn from each other. Therefore, every school will gain expertise throughout peer learning regarding our objectives. Our acquired knowledge will be published in our Twinspace as sustainability.

OBJECTIVES:
1. To learn and use different aspects of art.
2. To increase the use of ICT tools in the lessons with the promotion of daily collaborative work.
3. To acquire at least 5 new methodologies from our partners’ expertises.
4- To improve students’ participation in their learning process.
5. To improve foreign language competences of every pupil and teacher.
6. To raise awareness of Europe’s cultural richness and diversity.

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: Around 2050 pupils will be directly involved from our 5 primary schools. 4 schools have experience in partnership working in previous European funded initiatives. Finish schools is new to the lifelong learning programme.

ACTIVITIES: Children will produce video tutorials about art techniques, gamification to be used in the partner countries and new ICT tools and teachers about new methodologies implemented in lessons as well as new art techniques. We will create a museum in augmented reality in every school with the produced materials in the 2 years of the project.
During mobilities we will promote the exchange of our complementary expertises and needs so we all learn & help each other to implement our partners’ expertises in our own schools. During each mobility, there will be 2 workshops (Art and New methodology) for teachers conducted by expert teachers, and 2 workshops (Art and gamification) for pupils conducted by expert pupils.
Once back to our schools, teachers and students that participated in the mobilities will transmit and mentor their peers.

METHODOLOGY: Most of our planned activities during the two year project are mixed ability cooperative group working, where pupils with learning difficulties will have fully opportunities to be included in. These activities combine virtual exchange with eTwinning. Teachers will provide extra support when necessary as a mentor teacher and peer partner will follow pupils learning process and help them. The project will be a chance to show their creativity and cooperation and to work on skills rather than acquiring formal knowledge and facts. Throughout this project, all teachers will gain expertise and have the opportunity to implement new methodologies combining virtual exchange with eTwinning.

RESULTS: Video tutorials: they will help our teachers & other institutions learn and apply how to use these new tools in their day to day. At the end of the project, we will have access to around 30 different escape room syllabus (6 from each school), at least 20 art techniques tutorials with each CLIL implementation (4 from each school), some different flipped classrooms with all the required material, a list of gamification resources including an art gallery in every school with augmented reality, QR codes of every work, examples of how to work with new methodologies & video tutorials about how to use every Web 2.0 tool used.

IMPACT: gamification, augmented reality, new methods and art techniques will be inserted into partners’ schools curriculum as well as any other interested schools.

BENEFITS: The project website platform will continue beyond the partnership and will be in the public Twinspace for other teachers to use the resources and tutorials for at least 3 years after the end of the project. By creating eTwinning groups of every content, other teachers will benefit from our knowledge.
