Project Summary
There is a present fitness boom in Central Europe. Our students have the age, in which it is most important for them to be in a good physical shape. Therefore they go to local fitness gyms. Here they can find different types of fitness equipment to improve their strength or endurance. But it is not as easy as it seems: In most cases the pupils doesn’t have any experience with professional fitness training for health, so they are completely overwhelmed with the large selection of fitness equipment. So we want to offer training workshops for interested pupils. On the other hand we want pupils to find their personal way in specialised sport clubs. For this our pupils should getting to know different types of sport. In our opinion water sports would be a good choice because of their attractivness and their presence in our location. To initiate the project we will start with a teachers mobility in Germany. In summary there are 15 pupils of the Aldegrever high school in Soest and 15 pupils of the Kepler high school in Graz who take part on the projects short-term mobility. There will be also a long-term mobility with two pupils of each school.
There are some key competences, which will be learned be the pupils:
(1.) Natural sciences: through the treatment of sport biological topics. (2.) IT: through the use of modern technologies, like creating videos, the use of tablets, etc. (3.) Health an wellbeing: usefull topics for the own health will be part of the project.
There will be some results which will be available also after the end of this project: project-website, videos, presentations and priceless impressions of the involved people.
