We chose The topic of the project, Healthy Lifestyle, because we wanted to make changes in our pupils’ and their families’ lives in a good way. The main objective of the project changed a bit. We concentrated in increasing sports in everyday lives. We decided to concentrate also on development of healthy habits and healthy lifestyle. The obesity issue was left with less attention. We thought that by concentrating on healthy lifestyle and food, we could deal with obesity issue in a good, constructive way.
The main topics in the project were:
REQUIREMENTS FOR A HEALTHY LIFE, HEALTHY EATING HABITS, HEALTHY LIFESTYLE, DEVELOPING LONG-TERM HEALTHY EATING HABITS AND SHARING SCHOOL SPORTING ACTIVITIES AND GAMES.
NUMBER AND PROFILE OF PARTICIPATING ORGANISATIONS
Leppäveden koulu was the coordinator of the project. The participants were: 13th primary school of Trikala from Greece, Istituto Comprensivo Giovanni Paolo II from Italy, Szkola Podstawowa nr 32 im. Armii Krajowej from Poland and IMECE ILKOKULU from Turkey.
Every partner school worked hard for the Project. They prepared all the materials demanded. Digital competence (Google drive) came from Poland. Greece opened the Project Blog page. Turkish and Italian team helped with artistic parts of the Project.
DESCRIPTION OF UNDERTAKEN MAIN ACTIVITIES
In the Project we had questionnaires in the beginning of the project and at the end. We decided to concentrate on development of healthy habits and healthy lifestyle. We prepared several materials of different topics about Healthy food security. The topics were healthy food recipes and healthy snacks. We included nutritional information and amount of sugar of each food. We also presented childrens’ games, and the importance of good friendships in order to live happy life.
We also had a poster competition on healthy/unhealthy food. All the books were included in the final project book that was delivered to all partners in September 2018. We also used also videos to teach each school’s typical games at school environment. All the materials were kept in Google Drive for everyone in the project to use.
RESULTS AND IMPACTS
In the project pupils learned how to cook healthy food. They understood the importance of healthy food and to be more active to get fit.
The results from questionnaires:
Good things:
• The pupils are more concious about what is healthy/unhealthy food.
• Time for physical activities during the week has increased.
• Pupils do it more regularly.

We still have to work on:
• Still many pupils eat fast food quite often.
• We need to emphasize the importance of sleep. Educate more about fast food and importance of breakfast.
Thanks to the project, both parents and students had a chance to improve English language, and, above all, learn about different countries, learn about different cultures and lifestyles.
