Project Summary
Early years are crucial times for all children’s development both physically and mentally. Sports and healthy nutrition promotes the mental activities ( memory, attention span, organizing ideas…) beside
improving body endurance and fight with illnesses. For a country, to become more civilised by socially and economically depends on the strong bounds between sports and healthy nutrition. We
observed and realised that we have more than 10% of students who are in a risk group by considering their Body- Mass index(lower and upper limits). Sports and a healthy dieting might lower
the risk of a lot of health problems such as insulin resistance, diabetes, hypertansion, hyperlipidemia, Physical activity and movement are critical components of producing serotonin hormone, preventing
obesity, enhancing concentration and academic performance. Leading an active life can help all students to stay at a well balanced weight which will also help them feel confident about their
physical appearance.
We are also aware of growing anxiety levels amongst youngsters within our schools. Barnardos charity now estimates than more than 1 in ten children will suffer from mental illness throughout their lives. We aim to develop an awareness of positive strategies for maintaining a positive mindful approach to life, using practical strategies, such as those described by the THRIVE approach to learning.
Our aim is to train up children to be healthy, conscious and self-confident.It is an important problem not only in our society but also around the world that health is undervalued by most of the youngsters. As the students spend most of their time at school, they must be more active while learning and acquiring positive permanent behaviour habits. Sports are social activities where
children come together; establish friendships, learn to respect each other and build their personalities as well. Students learn better from their peers than adults as they compare themselves with their friends. So we would like to spread these habits through the school and make it become a school policy. While making this we also would like to share and learn from other members of Europe. Sports activities and nutritions vary across the cultures (sports, games, traditions)and with these activities, we aim to make pupils to be healthy when they are active and happy. Also our students will learn different countries’ activities and practise them when they are having fun. Cultural interaction will carry our knowledge, perspective and know-how forward. Sharing, comparing ideas and practising different methods of teaching and learning will carry us forward. We are very enthusiastic and excited about our project and we do our best to bring out a good project. All partners have had a very good cooperation and have worked in harmony.
In this time of uncertainty, after Brexit and the coronavirus outbreak, we see our project as a shining beacon which will show all the potential for positive collaborative working relationships with our neighbours, to make a better world.
