Project Summary
The project “Here smells Oskar …” was implemented by the Second High School in Lodz (Poland), with extensive experience in the field of film, in cooperation with Srednja Skola Tina Ujevica in Kutina (Croatia), with many years of journalistic experience.
The project was created in response to the needs of young people associated with the difficulties in continuing education, which are mainly caused by insufficient professional competences.
The aim of the project was to increase the achievements of young people and broaden their knowledge related to film and journalism, so that they will be able to continue learning.
The project was also intended to increase the awareness of the need to develop passions in their free time and to shape the attitude of openness and tolerance towards other cultures among students through active participation in discussions, workshops, group work.
In addition, implementation of the project was also designed to improve the language skills of students and teachers, thanks to which they had the opportunity to exchange experiences and good practices between schools and teachers from partner schools and other institutions from different countries, establishing international contacts, and the possibility of continuing cooperation in the future. Thanks to dissemination activities, with the project and the results developed within it, the persons dealing with matters of school education have also become acquainted, which in turn may affect, among others, shaping the framework of functioning institutions of both formal and informal education.
To implement the above the following activities have been implemented:
– 4 short-term student exchanges (each lasting 5 days), 2 to Croatia and 2 to Poland with a number of activities during exchanges (workshops, lectures, visiting places related to film and journalism, integration activities, etc.);
– 3 international project meetings;
– project conference.
During the project implementation the following results were achieved:
– development of an instructional movie;
