Project Summary

Here we are! is the titel of a project from youngsters for youngsters.
Two young NGOs form Spain and Germany wanted to find new and innovative stategies to fight youth unemployment by introducing new forms of jobsearch to youngstes. There were worksops for around 40 participants. Most important was the idea of creating application videos in which youngsters present themselves to european employers. Peer-to-peer trainings were held to underline the strong points of the young people to encourage them to play an active role on the jobmarket instead of waiting for a job.
Local authorities and employers were involved in this activity.
A plattform was meant to be developed on which youngsters can present their application videos. Due to the fact, that the new GDPR became relevant in the middle of the project the two small NGOs could not realize the plattform, especially because of organizational and financial boundaries.
Nevertheless the clips proved themselves as a useful tool. The Clips became a crucial part of the Youngsters applications in search for a job, in booth, digital and analog format.
Futhermore impressions and statements on the topic of youth unemployment were collected. These impressions were used to raise awereness for the topic by searching new solution appraoches For example a radio show on the topic of jobsearch was invented.
