Project Summary
Considering the learning difficulties of speaking expression are source of inequality to education and at work, the three organizations Avril (France), DynamoInternational (Belgium) and Les Conteurs du terroir (Burkina Faso) built the project “Heul’eau, les conteurs sont dans la rue” . They used the fairytale, common practice to Europe and Burkina Faso, the knowlegde about environment (water and its differences to access and use, health problems) and information and communication technology (use of smartphone, video recorder, stop motion, social networks) to set up four actions. A training course in France and a Jobshadowing in Belgium have been made for professionals and two youth exchanges in Africa and in France for youngsters. This action gathered 86 participants, including youngsters with fewer opportunities. Thanks to the involvement of all the team (trainers and participants), the project has been a real success. The work of the profesionnals during the training course and the job shadowing permitted to build a method on how to capture the attention of a non-captive audience and to sentize people to environment using tales. Finally, it will be accessible in a electronic version, translated in English, to be used in all countries.During the training course (november 2016), participants switched between outdoor activities and indoor theory, with environment (protection and access to water, diseases), theater and tale learning leaning. The two exchanges took place during two weeks, in France (July 2017) and then in Burkina Faso (september 2017). The young people and professionals had worked together to develop artistic and digital skills in order to create new animation technics about fairytale and environment.During the Jobshadowing that took place in Belgium (october 2017), professionals from Avril and from Les Conteurs du Terroir have followed street workers of Dynamo International and its public. Enriched with this experience, they have participated in finishing the method.During all the project, the three organizations had led local actions with theirrespective partners to maintain the group dynamics and help the participants to appropriate this project. Thanks to non-formal education methods, the participants had really strengthened theirs competences and some of them are now using those new skills in their daily work. The impact on youngsters have been very benefic too. Most of them now feel more self-confident and are more tolerant in front of cultural and social diversity. For the audience, during all the project, it has been a chance to know more about the Eramus+ program, about interculturality and eco-citizenship.Moreover, it has made a link between european projects and african organisations, which has been a real chance to exchange about methods, skills, culture, realities of lives between this two continents. We are happy about the result of all this work and for our reinforced partnership between the three organizations. We manage to spread a awareness about environment, sustainable development, international mobility actions and tolerancy.
