Project Summary

In The Kaposvári Temesvár Street kindergarten there are 3 mixed-age groups with 75 children. There are 6 qualified nursery teachers, 3 nursery assistants and a pedagogical assistant. Our nursery is located in the heart of Kaposvár, in the garden suburbs.
We work on the basis of the alternative programme called „Kindergarten nursing through arts” and we have four ongoing talent workshops operated successfully by our nursery teachers.
In 2018 we became an Excellently Accredited Talent Point. We are proud owners of the „Eternal Green Kindergarten” title. We are members of the „International Network of Healthy Kindergartens”. All our teachers are highly qualified and we have succesfully submitted and won many tenders throughout the years.
We have always wanted to get in touch with a kindergarten abroad and with the help of Erasmus+ it became possible.
Knowing the pedagogical work of this nursery in Timisoara, their commitments to traditions, Hungary and the arts, we were sure that they are the most suitable partners. We soon found the common basis, so the core of the project became music. We are looking forward to working together since our kindergarten has not yet been involved in such cooperation.
The aim of the project is multi-layered. Many small purposes contribute to the main goal to reach. Our primary goal is to exchange good practices and experiences with our partner institution and to develop long-term cooperation. We want to fight back discrimination by ensuring equal chances, by accomodating high priority children and by sensitizing nursery teachers and children. We aimed at succesfully embedding the project into the everyday nursery activities and to achieve long-term sustainability.
The project involves ten nursery teachers from both institutions. Many of them are master nursery teachers, experts, consultants, talent care specialists, certified developmental care pedagogue, physiotherapists, speech development teachers. The Educational Board is looking for challenges, they are open to new opportunities and innovations. This project provides us excellent professional development. We included several target groups in the project. The project themes are processed by teachers of both kindergartens with the children and their parents involved, considering their local characteristics and using their own pedagogical methods. We determined all the tasks and responsibilities of the partners at the beginning of the project.
The prior aim of the project is to coordinate the cooperation throughout the whole process.
We take into consideration each other’s needs, local characteristics and the probable tasks. Both kindergartens are committed to the realization of the project.
An even division of tasks is importatnt for the implementation of the project. The partners have to carry out the activities and programmes they undertake. Sharing tasks and selecting those responsible makes the planned activities manageable, and the PDCA cycle ensures a quality working process. We pay attention that everyone gets a task that suits his or her motivation or field of interest. The personal and material conditions should also ensure success. Proper functioning of communicational channels requires that those communicating have the common basis of knowledge and that is why they need to know every detail or change in the project. To communicate, cooperate well and to succeed with the project we will get to know how to use e-Twinning. Means of communication throughout our project are: telephone, e-mail, mail and skype.
The first step of the realization of this project was to select the right partner, and then we defined our goals and the expected results together. During the compilation of the program we took into consideration the needs of each other and local pecularities as well. Tasks, responsibilities, deadlines have been defined.
As a result, educators musical competence is expanding in order to develop children’s musical skills more effectively. We can create values, acquire knowledge, give and receive experience through speaking the same language, the language of music. The partner country incorporates this good practice into its educational work and actively participates in its dissemination, creating the national self-awareness of being a Hungarian in both kindergartens.
We expect that both the short and long-term effects of the project have a positive impact on the everyday lives of the participants. Its short-term impact is that all participants have fun during the activities. Its long-term impact makes our daily work more conscious.
„The one who starts life with music,
gilds all his actions later on,
he gets a treasure of life that helps him through a lot of trouble.”
