Project Summary
Context
The inspiration of this work is the addiction of teens to social media that can be used to be a responsible citizen for successful, educational and ideal motivator.
We will turn the situation down through our project by using you tube to deliver useful results.
We’ll use You tube because today’s distribution of information is a very successful and common medium amongst teenagers.
The idea stemmed from the question: Why are we not turning this addiction into a good source of education?
So we decided to create this project through the involvement of five schools that will agree to work on this issue.
Project objectives
O1. The project should reduce social media addiction and turn the addiction into misuse for good use.
O2. Participants should take education on how to create and broadcast a realistic video on YouTube.
O3. Students will take subtopic videos: Simple Mathematics, Language and Science so that they can study these subtopics to build their products.
O4. Students will take videos on cultural heritage so they can properly look for and understand their own history, as well as foreign cultures.
O5. Students will take videos of forgotten outdoor games to get in touch with their old generation and spend time outdoors.
O6. Students will take individual videos about activism so they will know the social life around them and take care of the neighborhood issue.
Number and profile of participants
The curriculum is targeted at the 12-14 age group of pupils in each grade. The students (240 students) are basically the focus of our activities.
96 of the 240 students will be chosen to participate in the exchanges for first-hand experience of European life.
The other students will take advantage of the events locally as they will have the opportunity to attend the activities as well as the workshop that the host partners will offer. They will also support the project in participating and engaging in planning the events that will take place at the school. They will accommodate the students from abroad and launch their school etc.
Task description
Approach to be used to carry out the project; we have designed practical and successful activities to achieve the project’s objectives.
The activities will be carried out under 3 action plans as local planning, international practices during LTTAs, local and international assessment and distribution after LTTAs. In times the circle will be turning around.
Until each LTTA, a project team composed of teachers, students, administrative staff and parents must work in good partnership on the meeting’s subtopic to plan the findings and complete the tasks. The students are the key actors so they’ll do everything under the guidance of the teachers.
We put 5 LTTAs into the story:
– C1 is about how to create and broadcast a YouTube video;
– in C2 students will take videos on the subject: simple math, language and science;
– in C3 students will take videos on cultural heritage;
– in C4 students will take videos on forgotten outdoor games;
– in C5 students will take videos on activism.
Videos will be produced and broadcast before each LTTA.
Videos will be arranged during the meeting workshop to take videos together, after all the students will do the disseminative activities.
All of our project events are going to make our students a Youtuber. They must learn to shoot a video, edit and broadcast a video that contains useful subjects and messages. We should work in teams, build international friendship, extend their understandings, connect with their past cultures and forgotten outdoor games and bring their heritage from past to present, establish active citizenship through their activist videos taking care of their social life problems.
Performance Definition and Effects

Possible long-term benefits
One of the project’s goals is to awaken the students’ spirit of participation, ensure their involvement in civic life and promote medium and long-term social development. The initiative will contribute to closer relationships between the school and the local community and will be in touch with the NGO in this way.
Schools, local community, will be more involved in the social life.
