Project Summary

Brief summary in English
This project is about the importance of guidance as a relevant part of the study curricula and of the educational process since pre-primary school, stating that ‘the guidance dimension permeates the whole educational process and has to be across the curriculum, involving and engaging all disciplines’.
To find and experiment teaching and learning paths in three different areas: identity and personal choices, labour market and educational training. These areas allow pupils, from nursery onwards, to think about their identity in order to strengthen their capacity to make conscious choices in relation to future career aspirations and how education can facilitate this. This project promotes early career guidance as a method to reduce early school leaving, improve students’ skills and help them to understand the importance of school in their lives. Through the use of a common methodology among partners (SWOT analysis), pupils were given the opportunity to think about themselves, their potential and their abilities, in order to become responsible and aware of the consequences of their actions and take responsibility. Pupils were able to make hypothesis and/or plan educational paths that will allow them to achieve their own ambitions in the future.
Our final product is a web site with a kit for teachers, where it’s possible to download all the materials developed during the project: We created this in order to give all future teachers interested in this topic, the ability to look a possible methods and suggestions to implement activities in their classes and schools.
