Project Summary

ICT&Technology Invasion is an interdisciplinary project for 13-15 year-old-students, who will be offered the possibilities to acquire new skills such as communication and presentation, cooperation, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management, creativity, teamwork which are useful both in the school environment and in private life. By showing them many different applications, computer programs and technical devices we want to reveal Ss interests, passions, abilities which can be developed and deepened. Even though they are very young, maybe we would be able to instill interests which lead them to their future professional jobs. We want to offer students living in low income households, have special educational needs or belong to ethnic minority groups, the opportunity of experiencing other cultures and meeting their peers in other countries.
We don’t forget about the teachers who have the chance to improve classroom practice, develop new skills or to exercise those already acquired in the planning and management of a project. The meeting with foreign colleagues allows us to learn about different educational systems and teaching methods that can offer valuable insights for our work.
Our tool to acquire other tools is a language. We promote teaching and learning foreign languages in order to be communicative.
By organising interesting and innovative activities during regular school classes by using the applications and programs introduced during the lifespan of the project we want to show our students that ict and technology is used in everyday life. Through the broad range of activities, connected with Air&Sky (Poland), Internet of Things (Spain), Culture&ICT (Bulgaria), Earth (Romania), Technology, Craft&ICT Learning by doing (Estonia), Precision Agriculture (Greece), by using many various ICT tools and practical classes, we want to engage as many Ss as possible. Apart from activities in schools, we organise visits and meetings in different companies, enterprises where the technology is used in every step. We also see cultural places, like interactive museums, where modern technology is fundamental for its being and makes the presented themes much more attractive and interesting than ordinary untouchable museum exhibits.
During mobilities we will pull the pupils out of their safety zone and create the international groups. By working in teams they will develop creativity, communication skills, creative thinking, time management, problem solving and a positive attitude towards work. The sense of self-confidence by working in an international environment will increase as they overcome language barriers and cultural differences. And there will be increase in motivation and satisfaction in a everyday work. The multinational approach will produce a deeper understanding of important and complex concepts such as citizenship and cultural identity and hopefully it will facilitate the creation of a large network of international contacts and a more positive attitude towards the European project and the EU values. We believe that straightening these ties is of the utmost importance in the times we are living.
As part of the actual results we will produce a project website, a logo symbolizing the project, presentations, photos and videos documenting the activities during workshops.
We hope teachers will gain from this project as much as students. For them, we see this project as a vehicle for professional development. Working with colleagues abroad gives staff the opportunity to share ideas, compare conclusions and find solutions together. Observing new methods and teaching styles will provide the teachers new perspective and influence them to improve their own teaching approach. As a legacy of this project we want to have a long-lasting professional relationships between all the partners. We will encourage an intensive exchange of teaching methods and good practices, creative thinking and media use. Our teachers will cooperate closely, plan and carry out project work together and share its results. We will involve parents, local communities and other partners.
All our partners school will gain experience in implementing international projects. By disseminating results in the local environment, schools will encourage students from other institutions to get acquainted with the project and its assumptions and activities.
