Project Summary

The INTRAWORK project operated in a “delicate” socio-economic context, characterized by great difficulties that a large number of young people in three of the four partner countries are still facing the transition from the world of training to that of work. This confirms the data on youth unemployment and on the so-called Neet by Eurostat and the national statistical Institutes.
Furthemore, the lack of ability to connect demand and supply, and the disorientation of same entrepreneurs that often do not know how to search for employees in line with their expectations and needs.
The INTRAWORK Partnership – established from the beginning by CDS – Applicant (Italy), the Slovenian Confederal Union OSO-K90, and 3 Training Centers KAI (Germany), FFE (Spain) and CDR (Italy), has implemented the Work Plan outline and, ultimately, achieved the following objectives: enhancing the company as a place of learning (rediscovering the “training” role); orienting young people towards “critical” professions required by the reference job market; increasing the adaptability of the company to the candidates’ competences and vice versa by introducing new forms of job placement and tutorial work; improving youth learning and employability; offering potential citizenship which benefits an active lifestyle.
The activities implemented (in addition to the transversal ones, necessary and indispensable for a good successful project – Management, results and products’ Dissemination and Valorisation, Monitoring and Quality) were the Trainers’ Training in mobility, the Pilot Experience in the three Training Centers, in which the INTRAWORK training model was tested.
The subjects involved were, therefore, a group of vocational training center trainers (specifically 12 during the C1 Event and 30 reached by the C1 trainers in the respective vocational training Centers), a panel of companies (overall 57) and 38 young people.
The tangible results are in addition to the website, the training model IN.TRA-WORK of work-study alternation, which emphases the Learning at Work (WBL), 4 Intellectual Outputs, 5 transnational Meetings and 5 Multipliers Events.
Among those intangible, but considered very important by the Partners, there is a strong stakeholders’ involvement of the during the dedicated meetings, which allowes a fruitful dialogue between parties, often distant from each other (Companies, guidance Services, Social Partners, training Institutions and local, regional and national Government). The consolidation of the Partnership has also improved the mastery of the working language – English.
This Partnership measured the impact on the beneficiaries and on the participants.
The former have acquired a greater VET system knowledge and skills in individual countries, as well as greater skills in managing an alternating training process. As a result, the opportunity to rethink the change in their organizations to overcome the existing difficulties. For example, for young migrants (KAI target group) – as for Neet (CDR and FFE target group) it worked on a latent or expressed need to be integrated and oriented in the working world.
The trainers, on the other hand, acquired proven ability to apply skills attained during C1 Event and the participated discussion of the 3 IO’s. This has not only improved the relationship with the company, but also with the training Center’s colleagues, with the use of training, with the institutions responsible for the protection of the quality of training and job placement.
The young were greatly motivated both during the Course and while maintaining an active position in the company. They attained related in the work ethic.
On behalf of the companies side, they showed strong interest in the IO’s, and confronted the need to find “suitable” candidate they became available through their involvement in the co-design and implementation of alternation experience.
In relation to the Project’s long-term benefits and the sustainability, even after the end of the loan period, the operating instruments will be adopted as permanent work procedures in their own training Organizations. These instruments will also be available to anyone accessing the site and the Erasmus + Platform
The INTRAWORK dissemination and exploitation’s actions have aroused interest in the companies of the territories involved, in training systems (Vocational Training and Higher Education), in Institutions (Public Administration and Centers / Employment Agencies). In fact, during the Multiplier Events, important contacts emerged to transfer the most innovative elements of in.tra-work model in other contexts.
