Project Summary
Project International Forklift Training (IFT) is our contribution to the development of European strategies in vocational education. In previous cooperation with partners, we noticed the need to develop mutual learning programmes, which will be based on learning outcomes, learning at work and where gained knowledge will be equally evaluated and acknowledged no matter where they were acquired. This will contribute to increased quality of education. We will educate staff according to the needs on the labour market and our students will be more competitive and more employable on international level. Moreover, European economy will be more competitive on the world level.
International Forklift Training is our small step in that direction. Through this project, we are going to develop mutual module of education for students and recent graduated students in forklift training, which will be based on ECVET. We will develop mutual learning outcomes and develop models of evaluation and recognition of gained knowledge regardless of where they have been acquired.
We plan to develop interactive glossary which will help mentors/teachers and students to manage forklift training. We will include 26 students from all partner institutions in international forklift training. Through their training we will test and validate developed programmes, teaching methods and training materials.
We will develop mechanisms for international validation and acknowledgement of gained knowledge and we will test their applicability. Moreover, we will train at least 50 students in our institutions for forklift operating based on newly created programmes and methods. This will all be a platform for long-term cooperation and training of students through Erasmus+ mobilities in future projects which will be more adjusted to students’ and employers’ needs and which will contribute to easier employment of highly skilled future employees.
All the results of the project will be publicly presented to other interested vocational schools and companies and they will be encouraged to join us in the next project. All the created materials will be available to anyone interested on eTwinning.
We want to create functional, internationally acceptable and simple training program, which is based on European strategies of vocational education, which will at the same time be a model for bringing closer educational programmes in different countries, and to validate and acknowledge gained knowledge in Europe more easily.
