Project Summary

Total mobility is foreseen for 56 students and around 12 teachers.

Project management and implementation will be based on close collaboration between partners and rigorous compliance with the agreed procedures, times and tools: in a first phase, the activities will be conducted through an eTwinning space prepared and developed for this purpose.
Choreographies will be built that will involve the students and teachers of the schools involved. The culmination of the project activities will be the mobility, during which the guest students will be able to assemble some choreography by working side by side with the host students and teachers. It is planned to create artistic events open to the public at the end of the mob.
The project aims to guarantee the possibility of access to artistic knowledge, a support critical knowledge of cultural heritage and direct experience of its expressions through the collaborations of the institutions in charge. This initiative also supports the development of creativity and knowledge of techniques through a wide variety of artistic forms, including music, dance and the performing arts in general, integrating them with the need to implement communication in English, also through remote communication tools.

The experience will therefore lead both the students and the participating teachers to a stimulating and rich comparison between two different education systems in the dance field. It will also be an opportunity for the two schools to broaden their knowledge and understanding of European countries’ educational policies and practices, for trigger changes in terms of modernization and internationalization of schools, stimulating in the immediate future creating interconnections between formal, non-formal education, professional training and the labor market.
A part of the students of both schools that will be involved belongs to a low socio-economic and cultural level; the project aims at their involvement, in order to reduce the effects on their educational progression of the disadvantage.

The project activities will allow to use innovative teaching methods and new technologies, experimenting with new pedagogical approaches to learning and teaching, developing interdisciplinary programs based on reality tasks, promoting basic skills as well as interpersonal skills and European citizenship’s ones.

Students participating in mobility will broaden their competences and skills in the area of:
• classical and contemporary dance techniques
• creativity
• adaptability
• stress management
• proactivity
• establishing cooperation
• being open-minded
• interpersonal relations
• communication in English
• cultural awareness
• the feeling of being European
• raising self-esteem
• addressing early school leaving
• minimizing the socio-economic and cultural disadvantage of departure, increasing the school effect

Teachers participating in mobility will broaden their competences in the area of:
• the ability to exchange good practices
• improving communication skills in English
• increasing their involvement in school international projects
• create a transnational cooperative network

In the medium and long term the impact of the project will be observed for each of the participants institutions (and school communities) in the following aspects:
1. will increase the prestige of the two schools and make the educational offer of schools more attractive for students and parents;
2. the prestige of the teaching profession will increase in the eyes of students, parents and the local community;
3. will promote the dissemination of knowledge about the countries of the European Union and show the benefits of belonging to the EU;
4. will create greater interest in the Erasmus + program;
5. will disseminate the idea of strategic partnerships between other educational institutions with a similar profile;
6. Perception of the institution as European: open to European cooperation and integration;
8. Increase the quality of school functioning by improving the results of the communication skills training in students;
9. Implementation of innovative methods and tools and duration of their application in each institution thanks to the development of the methodological skills of the staff.
