Project Summary
Led by Samba Résille (FR) in partnership with Barefeet Theatre (ZA) and Artscape (SA), 3 cultural and youth organizations using all the potential of the cultural sector to increase the well-being of the most vulnerable young people that they support daily, this project targeted the artistic, technical and managerial skill improvement of the youth stakeholders of the partnership, composed of activity leaders, artistic contributors, trainers, facilitators and managers, employees and volunteers.The program of activities, built to answer the needs identified in the analytic diagnostic of each organization, organized 34 days of activities of capacity building and 30 days of mobility of socio-educational facilitators for 55 beneficiaries, divided in 120 individual mobilities, of which 88 people have less opportunities; these participants were favored during the selection phase because without the Erasmus + resources, they could not have lived a similar experience.The program of activities adapted to the needs and capacities of the participants, gave room to creativity and leant on non-formal training to reach the targeted tangible and intangible results, as following:• Learning material and methodologies leaning on esthetics, facilitation and mediation technics, modules on forum theatre towards young people living in the streets, and awareness modules on blindness and low-vision care;• Tools and managerial processes regarding the logical frame and the implementation of evaluation strategies and promotion of results;• Sharing of knowledge and experiences regarding the inclusive public policies and artistic mediation practices, according the contexts of vulnerability of youth in each country, the analysis on certification and access to cultural jobs, comparisons on artist status, public funding for youth and culture, economic models, internationalization strategies, management processes, and presentations on opportunities of European funding;• Created or transferred tools between stakeholders like music scores, pedagogical index cards, presentations of good socio-educational practices, models of transferable actions, narrative platform to share the results composed of documentation of participants, several artistic works, typical cooking recipes from each organization and communicational brochures.The results of the longitudinal, participative and collaborative led evaluation allowed observing the transformations at the individual and organizational scales by a social and transversal capacity building of all the participants, and an increase of motivation of the teams of the partnerships to accompany more and better the most vulnerable youth.The communication strategy of the activities of the project, and the dissemination and exploitation of results strategy allowed to reach a large audience, internally among the staff (358) and the young people in the consortium (23200), in the networks composed of youth and cultural associations, public institutions, local authorities and regional and local media (3900). Finally, this project allowed to legitimate 3 organizations in their national contexts on their capacities to produce action-research regarding the efficiency of the cultural tool as a way to contribute to the well-being of the young people to engage, connect and empower them*, phase during which the partnership wishes to commit to continue the collaboration.* https://ec.europa.eu/youth/policy/youth-strategy_en
