Project Summary

The project was to gather about 30 students from Spain, Italy and France to create a show in a circus tent, in front of an audience , at the end of 2 years of work. Those students met 4 times, in each contry, for a week. At the end of each week, they had to present their show ; Wich had to be longer and more difficult each time and following precise criteria.
Objectives
To reach a level good enough to present a show, starting with a beginer level in
juggling, accrobaties, balance, acting skills, staging
To improve communication skills in foreign languages and mainly French.
To learn be part of a group composed of students from 3 different countries.
To cooperate in order to create a circus show.
To throw onself into the project before and after each meeting.
To developpe one’s artistic creativity in a cultural field : Circus.

During each week, the work followed 4 lines :

Individually : guided work by 3 P.E. Teachers on the different
juggling tools Balls, clubs, rings,diabolo, stick, bola, accrobatics
Balance rolla-bolla, balance ball, unicycle, stilts, German bike
Actings skills with the audience, feelings, illusion, surprise…
Community : guided work by a teacher on the different way of gathering and moving, the notion of hats off .
National : creation of a show outside gatherings
Internationnal : Independently, in group of 6 /7students from 3v different countries,creation of future shows

The shows expected at the end of each week spent together went from 2 to 4 To 6 minutes for each show. The final one was composed of 3 national shows and of 5 international shows.
At the end of each final show , the word to sum up would be « energy », the energy of students, the happiness to show their 2 years work to an audience in a legendary place, a Circus tent.
That would mean :
efforts in trainig and practising
improvement from beginners
improvement in communication skills and independence
maturity and self-confidence
improvement in foreign languages
self-acceptance and positive image of oneself

Some students cummunicate from one country to another. In the long run, some studentsplan to meet, a trip has already been done. Others plan to start an artistic career , some others plan to participatein Erasmusprograms during their higher education.
