Project Summary

“United in diversity”

Cultural heritage is the most striking illustration of the evolution of a nation and an important component of our common identity and heritage. Europe has a rich history. It is our responsibility to preserve it and pass it on to the next generation. Today, our cultural heritage is constantly threatened by new challenges due to the pressure of development, globalization, transformations of society.

The aim of the project is to engage students in a responsible attitude towards the liability Europe will have to assume of its history, its traditions, its values as well as the good practices for a sustainable functioning of the art and for its implementation at school.
During our project, students will have the chance to know better their own culture as well as to get to know them better, get to know each other and open up to others through the understanding and acceptance of others cultures . They will be eager to present their place of living in a modern and attractive way.
The teachings will be divided into different areas: defining our city, country as an inspiring place and offering many opportunities for lovers of literature, cooking, history, traditional customs, culture, science and for those traveling for relax.

The aim of this project is the understanding of the cultural heritage available to young children, through selected activities and an integral part of school curricula (including ICT), in order to raise awareness and awaken common understanding for children for the protection of our cultural heritage.
During the program, the children will share their ideas and work, discover their culture with children from other European countries, learn about the heritage and culture of other European nations.
It will enable them to understand the similarities and differences between different cultures, understand their way of life, teach respect, tolerance, accept their coexistence and imagine a common future, as well as strengthen their national and European identity.
This project contributes to the development of a European Consciousness and prepares the European citizen of tomorrow who will respect the environment, human rights and values of life, thus preparing him to act and make the right decisions for a better future.

This project plans to adapt the discovery of traditions and of the cultural field, which are usually forbidding notions for the students, thanks to games of discovery, observations, activities of similarities and differences. By using technological tools, we will have a current and dynamic approach. We will use various techniques to make this teaching as attractive as possible and to allow very young children to get involved.
We also plan to create helpers (brochures, leaflets, etc.), which could also be used by other teachers as part of their activities with young learners.
Knowing one’s environment, that of one’s partners is an educational process that allows the construction of the individual and the development of the enlightened citizen. To protect this education, pupils need to know and get used to the world.
School, as a first step in the systemic education of children, is responsible for training and developing action to know the world in which people live.
For these reasons, we consider that the value and the offer of our project are invaluable, because we will share and built life habits and attitudes, a different way of thinking and perception for the environment and friendly relations. By participating in this project, we want to change the behavior of learners, their families and the local community in the protection of heritage through reciprocal acculturation.
