Project Summary
Summary
We’ve come to the end of our project that we have carried out successfully for 2 years. We found out that in most schools, the academic programme is generally designed to expose students to wide range of knowledge and ideas.Teachers are expert in their disciplines and teaching is each school’s highest priority. Most of the parents are not ‘very’ involved in their child’s schooling and many are involved for discipline and not instructional purposes. As for students tend to give up their education, they have some reasons such academic,socia-cultural and personal reasons.Overall, giving education is no easy task but it is ceartainly a challenge and a valuable learning experience. Therefore,we started this project with the belief that the children are our future and we should let them find their way and choose what they want to do with their lives rather than teach them everyhing well.We also thougt everyone must keep in mind every child had a unique nature, intelligence and talent and they must be allowed to explore their abilities, interests and educate accordingly..As a result, we made a big effort to change the perception of education and gave the students outstanding facilities with different clubs and extracurricullar activities that motivated students to learn. To be more spesific we organized many different activities: sports activities (organizing chess, table tennis, volleyball and football tournaments), socio-cultural activities (career days, college trips, poetry, debate, essay contests, making up picture- music corners in school etc).In this way,the students found many alternatives to meet their interests and express themselves well. The school became the centre of activity and interraction with each other. Thus, they had the feeling of being part of a team is fun. We also acknowledged the importance of sophisticated technology for learning and enabled students to have access to modern facilities and the world of resources they offer. Moreover, we put emphasis on change of teachers’ attitude to education, on more positive attitude to students, so it motivated the students to learn and motivated the teachers to teach and counsel. All these actions were designed to illustrate the students how much good education and learning is important. Our participants were students, teachers and other staffs from all partner schools from Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey and Croatia. The students were chosen among students who were motivated to work in accordance with project objectives, extroverted and interested in the project. We had one Transnational Meeting with the participation of only teachers and 4 mobilities for Learning/Teaching/Training acitivities with the participation of teachers/adminitrators and students. We had also Multiplier Event as a seminar by a lecturer and it took place in third Learning/Teaching/Training Activity in Turkey. We had an Intellectual Output, e-booklet, which contains a short presentation of each partner: school, city, country, the template of two questionnaires and the results for each school, with problematic areas for each school and information about types of intelligence, and activities which develop the kinds of intelligence according to the Application Form.
