Project Summary

Carring out this project we have expanded the knowledge and feeling of belonging to the European Union coming from our educational community. Also, we have increased not only in the motivation of students to learn English but also in all the stuff in our schools communities such as families or other teachers. So, our English skills as well as the motivation to learn and continue improving them, are far better now, after the impact of Let’s CLAP project.

We have created a strategic partnership with four other schools from different points and cultures of our continent.

One of the main objectives of this project was to arouse the curiosity to discover the world in our students through festivals and traditions, looking for points in common with our culture which helps them to better understand our origins and connecting past, present, and future by analyzing its evolution over time.
Consequently, during this project we have done several presentations in each mobility so as to be aware of the foreing culture to obtain an increase in the feeling of belonging to the European Union and a greater sensitivity towards the importance of cultural and linguistic diversity in Europe.

Due to the activities we have done using ICT, by working with digital tools as a source of information in research, in communication with our European partners, in the development of our results and in the dissemination of these, our ICT skills have improved.

To reach our goal, we have disseminated different activities and the result of them in order to involve the entire educational community of all partner schools. From the younger students to the older ones, passing through the educational team, staff, families and local authorities. All of them, in one way or another, have being part of this work and have participated actively in different activities adapted to their needs. We should highlight the press dissemination, so as the meeting before , during and after the mobilities to involve our society as much as possible. Also, we have create the website and the calendar.

Students have done researches through cooperative work on the origin of our festivals and traditions, from which have participated in their celebration, promoting cohesion and creating and reinforcing emotional bonds between students and even with the rest of the educational community. And although only a group of students will be able to travel to different countries to verify and increase the results of their research, we have establish a network of communication through the use of social networks, chats, Skype meetings, etc., so that all students can establish contact with colleagues in foreign schools. And it is worth to stress that some of the students even after months of the mobility date they keep on contact with their host families, and this is a very huge achievement to be proud of.

With let’s CLAP ( celebrate, learn, accept and play )project we have enriching our students with new experiences which allow contact with other cultures by increasing their knowledge about them and promoting tolerance and respect towards different nationalities, customs and beliefs. In addition, students and their environment are able to appreciate the importance of being active European citizens and know the possibilities that our continent offers us.

We have had a carefully organized work plan among the different coordinators of the different countries that are part of this project. So as to achieve this, we have done face-to-face and on-line meetings.

Another goal that we have achieved is the integration of our SEN students in the development of the Project, providing them with all the necessary assistance for them to get the same opportunities as their peers to enjoy this experience. We have done specific activities such as the water workshop in Bakel, or the Kinesionlogy in Spain.

And at last but not least, after being part of this project, social awareness on multiculturalism and diversity in Europe, and the common origins that make us share common ancestors will remain in our minds and maybe it will motivate them to continue to increase their knowledge about it and instill these ideas in future generations.
