Project Summary

The world is changing and updating even faster than before. Anyone who does not want to lag behind these changes should hurry to change their thinking, knowledge, and value orientation. European cooperation in the field of education must be tailored to the needs of the new generation of children. It should be strengthened, give clear development guidelines and visible results in order to provide fresh ideas and a benchmark.
 The priorities that guide the project “Let’s share our games!” Are related to the needs of several target groups:
1. Children of the digital generation who spend most of their time at one of the screens playing video or computer games. For them these games are fun and exhilarating. Research has shown that the level of anxiety and aggression among adolescents is increasing. Children get used to playing alone, and it deprives them of social contacts, friendships. At the same time, there is a decline in motivation to acquire knowledge, skills and attitude in the kindergarten. We believe that through the games we will awaken the inherent curiosity and curiosity of the child from an early age – leading internal motives for the desire to explore and learn the world.
2. The teacher as a constantly upgrading and qualifying personality. One of the objectives of the Erasmus + program is to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the field of pre-school education in Europe – upgrading training and qualification of pedagogical staff. The project will enable the Yavor team to develop their professional skills and work together with partners from Europe.
3. Young parents are well informed and have high standards of quality and modern education for their children. They have to play the role of partners and teammates in achieving our common cause – the full development of the childhood personality. Parents’ sense of security and comfort will also increase their interest in our kindergarten.
4. The community – a major problem for the educational institutions in Gabrovo region – is the demographic crisis, the abandonment of young families with children in search of better economic conditions. This requires Yavor to offer a different, more interesting and better education by building a modern innovative educational environment and being competitive on a regional level. Be a place where every child will feel significant, anxious and happy.
   The goal of the project “Let’s share our games!” Is to explore, select and describe different kinds of interesting games from seven European countries. Let’s present and share the game of play and the rules of specific ones that can be practiced by all preschools.
According to Ana Freud, a child therapist, “the game is the work of the children,” that is, children play in the game and meet their communication needs. Through games, we give children the opportunity to learn and practice new ways to think, feel and act, and by participating in these games, we become an integral part of the emotional learning process. The game allows you to spend some of the negative emotions that are characteristic of the aggressive child and allow them to be replaced by positive ones. So we have to teach the child to play with other children and encourage him / her to engage more often in general games. All kinds of intelligence: linguistic, logic, mathematical, musical, visual-spatial, body-kinetic, interpersonal and intrapersonal, naturalistic, emotional (according to H. Gardner). The modern education system focuses on the development of only the first two, so some students remain “weak” and can not appear in it.
Through the project, we want to achieve the following specific objectives:
1) Equal inclusion of all children, giving them the chance to express themselves and raising their motivation by improving the conditions and the environment and diversifying the approaches;
2) Expand and enrich the learning environment by creating an interactive environment that allows freedom of choice and expression of each child;
3) Building partnerships between parents, teachers and children through trust and mutual understanding.
4) To motivate teachers to share innovative practices and improve their skills by developing skills to work with educational platforms, language competences;
5) Developing the competitiveness of the kindergarten and building a new image of the teacher by breaking the system’s rigidity;
We plan 7 meetings in each country on topics such as desktop, family, sports, creative, musical ethno games, ICT and outdoor games.
The project materials and results will be accessible to the public at regional, national and EU level through various Internet tools / EU dissemination platform, Twinspace, Google, Facebook /. This wide range of distribution channels will ensure lasting impact even after the project expires.
