Project Summary

We are a group of 4 partners from Lithuania, Belgium, Latvia and Spain, all interested in developing the European identity in our students , families and local community and improving our educational practices . We will do it through the knowledge of our artistic heritage and its peculiarity and going in deepth in the knowledge of important artists from other countries and their work (E.Patmainiece , R.Magritte, Gaudí and M.K.Ciurlionis ). It can help our students to value much more the European cultural heritage and achieve that all them be involved in its respect, safeguard and conservation. The different profiles of our schools and their staff can contribute to achieve other important goals as our students´improvement of English and digital competences and the social inclusion. It should be noted that expertises in cooperative learning of Spain, the use of CLIL of Spain and Latvia, the use of E-twinning of Latvia and Lithuania and the work of Art of Lithuania and Belgium can help to achieve the planned objectives . The fact that Latvia, Belgian and Lithuanian schools didn´t participate in an European granded project before improves our partnership´s motivation.
All our students from 3 to 12 years old will participate organized in 4 different work blocks : block 1with all students from 3 to 6 years old, block 2 with students of 6/7 y.o , block 3 with students of 8/9 y.o and block 4 with students from 10 to 12 . Each block will exchange proposals on activities with their corresponding partners block. These activities will be related to the artists´life, their work, artistic movements they belonged to and the implementation of some of their artistics techniques . Some of the plastic resulting works will be displayed in a travelling exhibition that will take place at the end of the project in the different partner countries. In addition, students who will participate in mobilities will carry out a research in the different partners municipalities to know the inhabitants´ knowledge of the worked artists and their works , and the citizens´oppinion about the European heritage conservation.
With the participation in this project we want to develop the students´creativity through the representation of the imaginary, emotional and social world. They will develope more creative , critical attitude and the way of seeing and interpreting the world and it will contribute to improve their personal development. The exchange of methodologies ,the knowledge of European cultural heritage, the implementation of different artistic techniques through cooperative work and the use of English and ICT will favour the integration of knowledge, abilities and attitudes in our students and the acquisition of new educational practices in our teachers.
We think the most important impact with our participation is that our students, teachers and families rais awareness of the need of attaining fluency in English and ICT, our schools will have created links in order to continue exchanging experiences or designing new projects through Etwinning tools and our schools will have acquired more experience in projects participation and their internationalization.
