Project Summary

The context
This project V.E.I.S.A. is a logical continuation of previous projects Erasmus, Grundtvig and Europe for Citizens. In addition to public authorities, schools and many relevant associations will work together to raise awareness of sharing in our daily actions (trans-sectoral project). The fields of consultation and citizen participation are not investing enough education as a prerequisite for the exercise of informed and meaningful citizenship. Increase the motivation of young people and adults to be engaged in a path of learning against social exclusion and promoting an inclusive society.
The Objectives
– Improve basic skills and ensure the non-formal and lifelong education to the citizens to develop free collective paths of change, to obtain or renew the required skills using co-teaching and co-construction approaches… The education should be seen as a prerequisite for the exercise of informed and meaningful citizenship by offering them (to the citizens) the chance to share, with their local and transnational partners, a range of unusual experiences.
– Improve the preparation of teachers to equity, diversity and inclusion challenges, monitoring different types of disparities, promoting the fight against segregation and discrimination of marginalized communities such as migrants. Develop new approaches to strengthen the educators paths, giving them all the necessary skills to be able to provide high quality services, and respond to the diverse needs of increasingly raised by multicultural societies, highlighting the use of languages (EN-IT-FR) and increasing learners and teachers digital literacy.

Diffusion among almost 10.000 people.

Methodology
“Participatory Action Research” (PAR) allow to all the groups to take control through actions determined together. This can only be done after a search and analysis of each neighborhood. Facilitator assigned to accompany a group let complete freedom of initiative to the latter, it is only there to “facilitate” the process undertaken by the group. This method of “Participatory Action Research” allows the creation of an International PAR Network. This network can reproduce the content of an action-research that allow to other people to enjoy the experiences and to help them to find solutions to similar problems.
The method of organization of citizens PAR, used with the project, offers concrete tools to rely on the public and produce real social change and developing the feeling active citizenship.
It offers new perspectives to all the “social” actors concerned to change its practice in the present context of citizen participation.

The project’s impact could be measured by noting that:
– A positive impact on the people involved in the activities: most insecure citizens benefit from new tools and instruments developed within the project on their ability to involve creation, renew and allow to transform public services and institutions. For a change of the government views and a real transformation of the respect for these populations.
– A better understanding and responsiveness to the social, linguistic and cultural diversity;
– Optimize skills and competences on diversity related to professional profiles of teachers and trainers; young teachers find in this educational approach its good reason to settle permanently in their occupation. Increase opportunities in the area of professional development.
– Give greater motivation to social organized teams groups in their daily work.
