Project Summary
“Buscando Huellas” is an Erasmus + project that comes up from the grouping of 3 partners present in eTwinning and School Education Gateway. All three partners have common interests focused on improving the educational quality of our centers as well as its internationalization.
The program focuses on the knowledge of European cultural heritage, taking it as a tool for the development of Key Competences in our students and the improvement of the teachers involved.
Transmit to our students the need to actively contribute to the configuration of a world order based on respect for the rights and freedoms of peoples and commitment to peace; in addition to the feeling of belonging to a group; Europe.
The School Exchange Association is made up of three schools, in Spain (CEIP Pintor Pedro Flores), in Italy (Istituto Comprensivo di Castelmassa) and Portugal (Agrupamiento de Scolas Do Crato). So that directly or indirectly this will be directed to more than 500 students from different nationalities, ethnicities and socio-cultural and economic levels. More than 150 teachers will also benefit from the three educational institutions involved.
For 24 months, framed in our respective local curricula and subjects, students from 10 to 12 years old, guided by their teachers of Social Sciences, Social and Civic Values and English will do dozens of local and transnational activities such as:
a) Teacher training, school meetings and visits to European institutions with heritage competencies.
b) Investigations of its local heritage with special attention to the European cultural legacy.
c) Edition and production of a documentary about the subject.
These actions will lead to the following results:
• Recording of a video clip with a letter adapted to the diversity and understanding of cultures using the European heritage as a scenario.
• Elaboration of a comic.
• Preparation of ICT material: Blog of the program “Buscando Huellas”, web and social networks. In addition, through the eTwinninng profiles of the responsible partners, all our actions will be spread.
• Production of manipulable material (puzzles, memory, dominoes, etc.).
• Informative plaques based on pictograms that will be placed on the investigated monuments seeking universal accessibility (disabled, immigrants and language or literacy barriers).
• Construction of a “symbolic European monument” of the project. Elaboration based on 3D printing.
• Campaigns to spread our own results and through the Platform for the Results of the Erasmus + Projects (E + PRP)
• Teacher certification through the Mobility Tool + web tool
All activities, which will be measurable and evaluable from indicators and tools designed for it, have a final product that will allow us to have a lasting impact on student promotions in successive years. Working with the new generations on European cultural heritage and making them understand that today’s culture is the sum of the cultures of the past.
On the other hand, the results and materials will be public and downloadable, which will allow other European schools with similar concerns to enrich their knowledge. It is worth noting the transformative effect of the program, seeking the universal accessibility of the investigated monuments (language and / or disability barriers).
Spain, Italy and Portugal celebrate the diversity, the shared history and the cultural richness of the European Union and we do it from the schools as we know best; educating and training.
