Project Summary

The project MIGOBI is partnership of nine European partners in 8 European countries (Austria, Italy, France, UK, Spain, Portugal, Poland and Sweden) coming from VET, adult education and higher education who contribute to Europe 2020 goals by:

– developing an open, flexible, interactive and engaging learning module on developing and experiencing entrepreneurial spirit in intercultural learning settings combining approaches used in adult education (open processes, learner centred) and approaches used in VET (outcome oriented, efficient). This module has been designed to facilitate exchange between different learners on their values and attitudes concerning entrepreneurship and to encourage practical entrepreneurial experiences.
This module is available as open educational resource in all 8 partner languages on http://migobi.eu and is usable in blended learning and face-to-face setting. It is so easily adaptable that tailored learning opportunities for different learners are made possible facilitating up-skilling processes of low skilled adults. It is possible to include this module in many different VET and adult education settings benefitting both systems. In order to facilitate European recognition it is aligned to European transparency instruments (EQF).
The module has been implemented with 137 learners coming from different areas in life (VET learners, adult learners, migrants, jobless young people) during the projects lifetime.

– addressing the challenge of enabling teachers and trainers in adult education and VET to implement educational spirit as a transversal approach in various training settings and while teaching various subjects a train-the-trainer course has been developed and tested both in European and in national settings with 124 trainers.
All resources developed for this course are open educational resources and available in all 8 partner languages languages on http://migobi.eu

Before the start of the development work on the two training courses, two studies have been conducted in all partner countries researching the existing status quo on the implementation of entrepreneurial training in VET and adult education settings and teacher training. These two studies can also be found in English on http://migobi.eu

The project’s aims have been:
– Improving key competences of European citizens concerning entrepreneurial spirit, intercultural skills and active citizenship
– Improving participation of migrants and minorities and jobless young people in the world of VET, adult education, in the entrepreneurial world and in the society as a whole
– Raising entrepreneurial spirit in adult and VET settings
– Enabling practical entrepreneurial experiences
– Raising the number of enterprises
– Raising people’s chances outside employment

The project partners have shared the project and its project with many stakeholders and beneficiaries during the projects lifetime in presentations, exhibitions, workshops, with the help of social media, on websites, in newsletters and by simply talking about it with others.
