Project Summary

The project “Model of Youth Development for Employment” has been realized by 3 partners – 2 from Programme Countries – Poland and Romania and 1 from Partner Country from Western Balkans – Serbia. The project promotes high quality of youth work fostering the inclusion and internationalization of youth work and opening it up to cross-border cooperation. The main assumptions of the project were to educate youth workers from involved partner organizations about different ways of rising youth employment using different available resources, tools and mechanisms and to equip youth with competences needed for labour market by increasing European cooperation. The project is based on non-formal and informal learning methods stimulating creativity, active participation and initiative of participants.The project was framed within a longer-term perspective and planned with a view to achieve a multiplier effect and sustainable impact.Project Model of Youth Development for Employment aimed to:•foster cooperation and exchanges in the field of youth work with emphasis on increasing youth employment between Programme Countries (Poland, Romania) and Partner Country from Balkan country (Serbia), thanks to creation and improvement partnership among organisations active in youth work to empower young people on labour market, especially to assist NEETs in an integrated way;•improve the quality of youth work and non-formal learning in all countries taking part in the project, especially in Serbia thanks to education of youth workers;•promote transnational non-formal learning mobility between Programme and Partner Country, especially targeting young people with fewer opportunities, with a view to improving participants’ level of competences and fostering their active participation in society thanks to creation of cooperation between Kolping youth organisations based on mobility activities;•empower youth organizations to rise youth employment thanks to realization of capacity building project and to cooperation, networking and peer-learning activities fostering efficient management and gaining new ideas, methods and tools.The following areas were identified in this project:• developing and strengthening cooperation between youth workers, inter alia the sharing of knowledge and expertise to promote high-quality of youth work;• supporting and innovative ideas and to exchanging good practices to promote empowerment, participation and the active citizenship of young people;• improvement the quality of youth work;Through previously listed areas the project enabled:• more and equal opportunities for all young people in education and in the labour market;• promotion of the active citizenship, social inclusion and solidarity of youth.Planned project activities: 4 mobility activities: 3 Mobility of youth workers (in every country) and Youth Exchange (in Serbia) webpage dedicated the projectthe best practice manual “Model of Youth Development for Employment – practical guide for entrepreneurship education” in 4 languages – ENG, SRB, PL & RO movie promoting entrepreneurship among youth (5 minutes) in ENG, SRB, PL & RO 2 partner meetings (preparation and summary meeting)3 dissemination events The most important added value for all partners was the opportunity to gather practices, activities and ideas by considering the thematic area and to improve them as well as learn from each other’s realities.
