Project Summary
Monsters in Danger of Extinction project (M.I.D.E.) departs from a previous partnership between two eTwinning schools: IES Unamuno BHI (Bilbao / Spain) and Ekpaidetyria Panou (Nafpaktos / Greece) that deal mainly with a pedagogical context of multilingualism, respect for diversity and inclusion. The project will run for two school-years (2020-22) involving four short-term exchanges for pupils.
The motivation to apply for this project is to promote the exchange of co-operative work experiences between two school communities located in different European regions, but which share the same cultural heritage deriving from the ancient world.
The subject of the project focuses on the imaginary beings in classical mythology manifested specially in arts and literature. This fact provides an opportunity to take profit of the shared cultural richness in each country to develop basic skills, gender equality and social inclusion counting with the collaboration of some external organizations: museums, cultural associations and public institutions.
Number and profile of participants of each school per year:
Target students: 48 upper secondary pupils, aged 15-17, who learn Classics.
Non-target students: 144 fellow classmates of target students, who don’t learn Classics.
Target teachers: 16 CLIL teachers.
Non-target teachers: 48 teachers of non-target students.
