Project Summary
“MOVEMENT TO CHANGE”
Physical activity and sport have always been related to health, well-being … but also to other counter-values such as negative competitiveness, individualism … this concept is against educational world, for that reason, five European schols have created a project to develop the values existing in physical activity and sport in order to help, transform and improve society: cooperation, solidarity, teamwork, tolerance … values that will improve, on one hand, the competences of our students, teachers and families and, on the other hand, OUR European society.
With this idea, “MOVEment TO CHANGE” project was born, a two-year project which has the following objectives:
1. Promote, share and participate in work experiences that promote social values through the movement.
2. Promote the exchange and knowledge of other European educational realities.
3. Promote the values of sport and physical activity in European schools.
4. Know the European cultural heritage related to sport
5. Awareness of the need to work together against social inequalities.
6. Develop foreign languages
7. Promote the use of ICT
8. Promote the European dimension of shared work
The partners are schools in Spain, Greece, Poland, Turkey and Belgium, each providing key elements for its successful development:
-Spain: Experience in solidarity projects through physical activity. Each year he develops a charity career project that will be one of the training courses to offer.
-Greece: Center near Olympia, birthplace of Olympism and all the values inherent in sport. It will give us that vision and the cultural load necessary to contextualize the project.
-Polonia: With experience in developing activities in nature, promoting values such as effort, teamwork … they will offer experiences in that field.
-Belgium: Special needs school which offers an “openness of mind” in the field of physical activity with the sole objective of promoting happiness and health.
– Turkey: School with traditional game projects. It will help to introduce this type of content in educational schools as well as experiences on the development of basic skills through the game.
The activities we have planned are related to the horizontal priorities and objetives:
– School activities: aimed at all the educational communities of the members, related to physical activity, sports, culture and movement as generators of social change.
– 3 Teaching-learning activities with mobility of students and teachers in Spain, Greece and Poland. In them real experiences and training will be lived; organization and development of physical activity projects that promote social values, work techniques and cooperative games, learning based on physical activity …
– 2 training meetings on elements related to the project; eTwinning training, physical activity projects and gamification. Belgium and Turkey
It must be a “SCHOOL PROJECT” and the beneficiares and participants must be ALL members of the educational communities, directly or indirectly. As a methodological element we have created the “Erasmus Commissions”, groups of students and teachers that, in each school and together with the coordinator of each country and management team, will dynamize and organize the activities; its planning, execution and dissemination.
It will have a public and open character, giving vital importance to contact and dissemination, using communication, publication and dissemination channels:
– Email
– Whatsapp group among the coordinators
– Konvoko mobile application
– Blog
– ETwinning
– YOUTUBE Channel
– WEB of schools.
– Analysis of activities
– Exhibitions
– “Erasmus Corner +” as an information element in each school.
– Communications to the national agency.
– Results Platform
We expect a change in dynamics, some results visible in our centers:
– Realization of experiences that promote the values of cooperation and collaboration through sport and physical activity
– Creation of new structures within schools, such as the Erasmus + commission
– Changes in the dynamics of individualism versus teamwork
– Cooperative work environments
– Motivation towards educational practice.
– Awareness of the European dimension
– Own resources that serve other educational schools…
This educational project hopes to improve European society, changing competitive values and enhancing collaboration, cooperation, teamwork and health, enabling the mobility of students and teachers who are testimonies of experiences in their own environments.
