Project Summary

By setting up collective training sessions, the project implements exchanges and confrontations of music education practices in three different countries.
This moments of learning, formal and informal, allow participants to strengthen their existing skills and learn new ones, in order to provide better support for vulnerable young people, their target audience.
Context :
All partners indicate a global context of difficulties to access arts and culture, as well as a remoteness in working-class and rural areas.
An educational compartmentalization between the different countries of the EU is observed.

General goals and expected results :
– create and develop a connection between European contributors involved in music education
– teach new methods and educational tools for European contributors involved in music education

Specific goals and expected resultats :
– create and intervention for young people with methods and tools approached during the realization of the project
– get a better understanding of the cultural and social context of a new territory

Expected results :
– organize actions featuring methods and tools approached during the realization of the project
– get a better understanding of the issues thanks to innovative educational tools

People involved in the project :
– Participants : musicians, music tutors, instructors and teachers. Each partner has a team of 6 people involved in every collective training sessions. In each team, one person is chosen for the coordination of the project.
– Organization referees : three people are chosen to insure the planning and logistical organization of the collective training sessions. They are also in charge of the administrative and financial management of the project. At last, they coordinate the internal communication and teamwork between the partners.
– Communications managers : three people drawing up a local, national and European communication plan and spread the results of the project.

Description of the activities :
Day 1 :
The organization hosting the event presents the context of its creation, the actions set up on a daily basis, and its principles of intervention. The participants visit the place and exchange with collaborators of the host.

Day 2 and 3 :
The foreign participants observe, note and comprehend the principles of intervention of the hosting partner during their actions. Thematic work groups are set up.

Day 4 :
Every work group does an oral report about their work.
The participants fill up an evaluation grid and one-to-one interviews are made.

As a conclusion, a “spreading meeting” is organized in order to present the results to the local partners.

Project methodology :
In every phase of the project, specific tools are set up to ensure the control of the schedule and good financial management by every partner :
– budgetary and financial monitoring
– tasks planning
– collaborative online tools
– internal communication and collaboration between the partners
– monitoring of the learning process

Direct effects :
– acquisition of knowledge and skill for every participant
– creation of a group dynamic that allows the participants to exchange and question their practice
– increased effectiveness of the interventions on music education and social inclusion of the youth

Indirect effects :
– development of curiosity for other educational methods
– participants have a new consideration of their practice
– participants get their professions into perspective
– reinforcement of the europeanity of every participant (partners and youth)

Long term advantage and extension of the project :
The partners aim for three types of advantage during the realization of the project :
– educational advantage
– financial advantage by increasing contributions of the financial supporters
– image and renown advantage

If the assessment of the project confirms the aims and expected results are reached, a new application for European financial support will be made, to improve and develop the European exchange network to new European organizations.
