Project Summary

Our key objective was to inform students about basic financial terms and teach them that it is possible to take control of their financial present and future. This objective was achieved throughout the project. In partner schools and during student exchanges our students had the chance to learn about financial topics (currencies, savings and investment, debt management and financial responsibility, renting vs. owning, online shopping, loans, scholarships and grants etc). In order to instil skills that would help our students in school and later on the job market, during workshops in schools and during student exchanges we reinforced key competences such as critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork, ICT and communication skills. Our students had the chance to discover the diversity of EU cultures and their own culture, they had the chance to compare their knowledge and practices to their peers’, and have definitely become more socially aware and open-minded.
Our students were given knowledge they will be able to use with their families and affect their family financial decisions in the long run.

We used methodology that is more interesting and attractive to students (online meetings, research on the Internet, brainstorming, timelines, presenting etc).
