Project Summary

The youth association Mar Antiguo decided to carry out this project in collaboration with “The classroom of nature” as an associate member, stating that there is an urgent need to promote respect for the environment and that the best way to increase such respect and Protection is education and in particular environmental education or education that uses nature as a pedagogical method. We believe that this method of teaching is very beneficial for young people to be able to educate in values ​​as well as transmit knowledge to young people.
 Through our vast experience in youth camps in which we implemented this educational methodology we have seen the great impact it has on young people, going beyond being a simple way of transmitting knowledge, transmitting values, which makes young people become active subjects aware of the protection of the environment and promote these values.

We want to carry out the project using a strategic partnership in the field of youth, because our educators are mainly young entrepreneurs aware of this problem and in turn the participants in our activities are also young, so the benefits will have a direct impact on both sectors .

We have chosen the exchange of good practices as a work system because we believe that it will be the best way to improve our field of work and vision, and that through the exchange of teaching methodologies on the subject we can improve the quality and all of them making the 6 organizations Participants benefit from this, improving the skills of their educators and thus improve the teaching that they carry out, which at the end of the process will directly affect the young recipients of education.

We also believe that education that uses nature as a pedagogical methodology, is very entrepreneurial and that by needing a natural or rural environment to be implemented, it can encourage the entrepreneurial behavior of young residents in these areas. This has a direct impact on job creation. For this reason, we intend to include young people with fewer opportunities for geographical reasons (residing in rural areas with fewer employment opportunities) in the project, so that they can obtain competences and knowledge in the subject and can carry out an entrepreneurial project in their communities that generates employment (As did our association in the Alpujarra Granadina with the classroom of nature)

To carry this out we intend to carry out 6 meetings, one in each country, to visit the infrastructures and see the forms of work of each association, which undoubtedly belong to the same theme, natural education, in order to discover new pedagogies enterprising and new fields of work. After each meeting the organizations will put into practice the innovative techniques undertaken in their own organizations. In addition they will have to carry out a follow-up of their operation through evaluation reports, in order to improve the techniques through an analysis of the sharing of results in the next meeting. These reports will serve to create a guide of good practices at the end of the project. The guide will have audiovisual documents to make it easier to transmit knowledge and disseminate results

We will also hold a transnational coordination meeting before the start of the learning activities, this will take place in Spain.

Therefore the objectives of this project will be:

– To put in contact educators of the natural education sector.
– Discover innovative ways of teaching.
– Create quality educational methodologies.
– Increase natural education in the field of education
– Promote respect for the environment
– Encourage the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities for geographical reasons.
– Entrepreneurship learning.
– Promote sustainable education and values
– Promote teamwork and cooperation between organizations from different countries.
– Create a feeling of European integration. Common problems, common objectives, common answers.
– Promote equality and respect in education and in educational processes.

The project will start in September and we will leave a month and a half between meetings to complete the reports and implement the activities correctly, and 4 months after the meetings to create the guide of good practices and dissemination of results . Therefore, the total duration of the project will be 13 months. Each meeting will be 3 days, with the exception of the coordination meeting, which will be 4 days because it has to address more issues than the other meetings.
