Project Summary

Our project is a partnership of six schools for 24 months. The coordinating country is Spain, which, in collaboration with establishments with extensive experience in Erasmus projects (Italy and Romania), establishments with a tradition of European projects (Macedonia and Greece) and an establishment without European experience (Turkey) but sharing a strong motivation to get involved, offers the realization of this project on the environment: “No Plan-et B”.

This project was born from an objective observation made by the referent partners: the need to instill or consolidate an ecological conscience among the pupils who, very often, do not know the concrete and basic gestures capable of improving the quality of the life and preserve the environment. The priority objective of our project is therefore to rediscover (and in some cases, to discover quite simply) the importance and the benefits of an active and ecological life from an early age.
It is essential to create in our students an ecological conscience which leads them to adopt positive and protective attitudes towards the environment. Europe, with the 2030 Agenda, has set itself goals that we must all set as priorities for a better future.

The project aims to help change the habits of students and their families, by enabling them to acquire a more solid awareness of environmental issues and to learn to work for the protection of the environment and public health. ; in this way, the young people of the different partner establishments will become more responsible, and the establishments will be more united and fair in relation to the ecological issue.

The project therefore contributes to the formation of an ecological and eco-responsible conscience among the young people who will be the European citizens of tomorrow. This objective will be achieved through activities, mobility and exchange of experiences with other partner countries around the environmental issue, which turns out to be a common problem and, therefore, will also be analyzed through an approach to Europe. Students will be able to reflect, individually and collectively, on the themes of the environment and ecology, drawing on personal and daily experience as well as on the study of the social, economic and environmental context specific to each participating country. This approach will help to create a direct link between the content of school learning and the concrete living conditions in the regions of origin of the pupils, with a view to active participation in the construction of a fair and sustainable society. By promoting the preservation of our environment, we will protect our natural heritage at the same time.

In addition to the activities that will be carried out in each establishment during these two years, we have planned a theme for each mobility: environment and health, air pollution, waste treatment, recycling, plastics and the impact on flora and fauna. The students, in transnational groups, will confront different environmental problems proposed during mobility activities and will manage to visualize possible solutions through the end products although the most significant results that we hope to achieve relate to awareness and more respectful behavior. towards our Earth. The actions initiated in the different countries (planting trees, balanced diet, combating pollution, knowing how to differentiate waste, improving our recycling, reducing the use of plastics, protecting nature) have been envisaged to establish student life and to last over time. We have always considered that the impact of our project should always work in the long term.

In addition to the initial, intermediate and final evaluation, the activities will be evaluated through surveys, questionnaires, coordination meetings, student portfolios, interviews, etc., leading to a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the data. The coordinating country, with contributions from other partners, will be responsible for the overall assessment and the drafting of the interim and final report.

This project claims to contribute to the development of the learners, teachers and institutions involved and to have results (tangible and intangible) available to the educational community and local society for at least three years after its closure. The dissemination of our objectives and results will start from the beginningt and will be ensured throughout the project based on two axes, internal and external, hoping to raise awareness, involve and inspire all those who agree with Daniel Mercier who supports that environment is both a gift and a debt for future generations.
