OPEN CALL

Are you a tourism company investing in the future?

As an SME in the sector, do you want to combine the potential of data and the opportunity of the European Capital of Culture and advance innovative solutions for your business together with us? Would you like to use up to 7,000 euros in funding to set out on the path to such solutions?

Have you nodded three times now?

Perfect. Then we are your partner and CulTourData is the ideal project for your goals.

In the CulTourData project, six European regions from Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Slovakia and Germany are working together in which European Capitals of Culture (or candidate cities) have set or want to set important impulses for tourism development.

The focus is on innovation through the use of (open) data. We want to draw the attention of tourism SMEs to this important growth factor.

Through targeted training, networking and work on pilot projects, we show you how, especially in the environment of European Capitals of Culture, new potentials for the intelligent and networked use of data for the business development of all tourism segments arise through the expected visitor flows.

Would you like to join us on our journey? This is what awaits you in the project from October 2022 –
January 2024:

  • a training programme tailored to your needs, online and with direct question and answer
    sessions with tourism, creative and data experts;
  • a targeted connection with actors of the creative industries and digital players/data scientists
    for possible pilot projects;
  • the financing of 10 of these pilot projects with a total budget of up to 70,000 EUR (10 x 7,000
    EUR maximum);
  • networking through participation in partner meetings and the final conference.

Being in a region a former, current, or future European Capital of Culture is a huge opportunity.

The use of digital data is a foundation for your future. Our project can be a starting point for the profitable further development of your business.

From all interested companies we may invite 20 for the training programme and support up to 10 companies with budget for pilot projects that focus on enhancing a data-driven approach. So,  take advantage of this opportunity quickly.
