Project Summary
The project “Partycipation” is based on a students’ intitative by the Luisenschule. The students’ wish is to learn as much as possible about participation possibilities at different schools but also within the city of Nass and Ireland in general. Each school (Luisenschule as well as Nass Community College) includes 16 students at the age of 14-16. The project is assisted by two teachers. Additionally, the project is supported by two students from Bielefeld University. The first virtual exchanges take place via ‘eTwinning’. Students are supposed to present their projects to each other. The projects will be developed and implemented by the students. Those projects can and should take place within the schools, as well as beyond. Community Service, commemorative culture, and sustainability are popular topics mentioned by students. Both sides expect this project to give new impulses and structures in terms of pupils’ commitment. Especially the work of the student council and other committees are supposed to be shaped and expanded. Furthermore, this project is a great opportunity in terms of language learning. Both sides are going to have the chance to learn the respective language.
