Project Summary

So far, young people are, in our opinion, that segment of the population that has surprised us the most. They are certainly not living this social and health situation well, but they have taken a lot of responsibility and will be the last to give up. Yet it was us, the adults, their educators, who, regardless of the health emergency, created an unstable present and an unclear future.
And now that we are in “phase 2”, we are overdue on the remote reorganization, on the presentation of attractive and feasible training and animation offers in mixed versions (remote and face-to-face), we are functioning and crackling like a long-standing engine , not because it is only Covid-19 that slows us down, but because to this, old obstacles and already difficult paths that we have been carrying around for some time are added, say the YW.
It will be necessary to introduce a new awareness and inform a system of youth policies that needs a profound renewal and that knows how to answer the questions of this time.
The 5For.Mat project, with a smart, digital and creative methodology, aims to address issues and topics that affect the whole European Community, that is, rediscover different types of “Communities”:
– The value of the Community, to rediscover and overcome the sense of vulnerability which is not only negative but also precious compared to the ecological crisis we are witnessing;
– Forms of communities that know how to be both physical and virtual;
– European collective community, that is, spaces for a European identity made by young people, who fight the centrifugal forces that have been seen in this period.
Our project challenge will be to “be heard”, “express” and “communicate” what the older generations have not been able to communicate:
The needs of educators, who were intercepted through questionnaires administered immediately after phase 1 of the pandemic, are:
– Acquire more digital and pedagogical skills, to expand the training offer and to make it more connected to the world of work in this era of great uncertainty;
– Knowing how to use new “educational operations” attractive to young people;
– Expand social integration through greater knowledge and connection with the social context in which one is immersed.
The objectives:
• Recognize different digital talents;
• Select other creative ideas for the development of multimedia content (young people involve other young people), also oriented towards youth entrepreneurship;
• Document the fragility of their territories and arouse the re-actions of citizens;
• Involving artists / a local band and exploiting the visual language and music, also through digital tools;
• Realize live streaming backstage and mini events “at the foot of the mistreated territories”;
• Create a European youth community that contrasts existing Euroscepticism.
Our YW and their young people aged 18+, coming from all backgrounds, education, training, work, disadvantage (economic and cultural).
-Educators, YW with difficulties in involving young people and with little digital knowledge.
– Young people looking for work and with the need to express themselves creatively.
A stable transnational community will be the long-term result we expect to achieve.
The results we want to achieve in the short term are:
– Open an on-line Community that follows all the phases of the project and both the communication tool and the research and release tool of the educators and young people who will participate. A Community that will then be open to the outside at the end of the project and will have to support the other initiatives that have been created in the meantime;
– Create at least 5 digital editorial formats created with the help of organizations in the creative and cultural sector;
– Select, for each Format, creative multimedia contents to involve (attract) young people;
– Present new work scenarios, also using the information acquired from entrepreneurship education;
– Create a training course for educators on creative communication and digital work;
– Create a mini event (per participating country), for presentation for companies in the tourism and food sector.
The realization of all the results, foreseen up to now, will concretize what we have defined as “5For.Mat educational operation” or “digital pedagogy for educators” in 5 project activities + the Community.
