Project Summary

The title of the project is “Play-Empathy-Tolerance-Acceptance-Implication-Motivation-Entente” because the project aims to promote a culture that comes in favor of tolerance, of acceptance, of implication and of empathy. We propose to do it through activities that have play, entente and respect between students and teachers from different backgrounds. Through this project we propose to create an environment conducive and motivating for the personal development of each student.
The principal objective of our project is to strengthen the capacity of partner institutions to act in consensus for the reduction of disciplinary situations resulting from bullying. It is also proposed to ensure an appropriate intercultural educational climate and to form a tolerant behavior of students in the school and in the community for the educational inclusion of all students from schools participating in the project.Through the project, pupils, teachers and parents will be made aware of the importance of the inclusion of all pupils while combating the problem of bullying in the participating schools, teachers will learn to recognize and resolve the problems of harassment of their students.
Our target group are students aged 10-14 years. Among the direct participants will be selected students involved in cases of bullying, coming from the disadvantaged environment (students of immigrants, students of other ethnic groups, students with a precarious financial situation, pupils with special needs). We will have 6 students from each country in each mobility accompanied by 2 teachers for the group from Romania and Italy, 3 teachers for the group from Portugal and 4 teachers for the group from Turkey.
We intend to make an impact on teachers in partner schools who are not directly involved in the project and on French-language teachers and on those responsible for European projects in all schools in partner regions. Teachers interested in the results of the project will be able to participate in the events on etwinning planned after each mobility and in the events planned by each school once a year.
Our project allows students from 4 colleges from 4 different European countries to come together to establish a linguistic and intercultural understanding. We will have 4 short-term student group exchanges for students and teachers (in Portugal, Romania, Turkey and Italy) in which 72 students and 33 teachers will participate. We have chosen 4 exciting themes for mobility: cyber-bullying, theater, art as therapy and cultural diversity.
The activities are planned to reduce the phenomenon of harassment and strengthen the factors of protection and inclusion of students: classes / workshops on the fight against verbal aggression, cyber-bullying and hate on the Internet, including regulations and laws related to the problem, events and activities on etwinning, shows, differentiated work, project pedagogy, the implementation of new teaching methods and tools by teachers of different subjects (ICT, tablets, etc.) , activities and tasks intended to reinforce the positive atmosphere of the school.
The targeted results are: the participation of students and teachers in informal and non-formal activities, the acquisition and development of digital and linguistic skills, the development of interpersonal, civic and social skills, the reduction of the emotional vulnerability of students, familiarization with the culture, tradition, language and way of life of the partners, the creation of strong protective factors in each of the schools (positive atmosphere of the schools, well-integrated peer groups, anti-violence policy and competent adults, teaching methods adapted to students, the internationalization of schools, the professional training of teachers in inclusive and intercultural education, friendships between teachers which will be the first step for collaboration in the future and for new partnerships. Students will know how to handle situations difficult times, stress, aggression, cyber-bullying, mental disorders, communication barriers, etc. and teachers will know how to act in situations of harassment in their schools.
The transnational dimension of this project will allow cooperation between teachers and students from different countries who face the same or different problems according to the daily realities of each country. By comparing the educational systems and the problems, will find together the best requests to combat the problem of harassment in our countries.
