Project Summary

Our project with 5 instution from different 5 country in Europe (Turkey, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Romania. Our project was open to students aged 10-15 years. Project is for 2 years. There have been constant exchanges on the internet we have planned 2 years. Our classes filled with abstract concepts, students played an active role, widely used classes of extracurricular activities, using concrete materials, by including students lessons in the games and activities can associate with everyday life, spend an academic process their fears and prejudices that will enable them to break the life we want. In this sense, to identify our shortcomings, to correct the mistakes made with different perspectives, recognizing the value of European Union on students and to develop positive behaviors against these values and we wanted to take this project to life with international partners for the most important experience sharingThe web page have been a means for the others to evaluate our work.Obviously, our associated partners such as local authorities, had been consulted and kept informed about the activities done all along. The contributions of the local authorities were likewise be widely diffused among all participants. The impact of our project was a change in the attitude of the pupils and their parents regarding school and society. They have been ready for a better use of modern technology.By means of discussions with all the parties involved, in newspaper articles we introduced our project to the city. There were some skills to attribute to today’s learner and many of them were important for a learner. These skills were ;*Critical thinking and problem solving*Agility and adaptability*İnitiative and entrepreneuralism*Effective oral and written communication*Accessing and analzsing information*Curisioty and imagination To cause students to gain these skills ,we should know more about teaching strategies.Hereby we needed to do this project and begin to investigate. While investigating,we were came across incredible informations that teachers and students should experience. This curiosity was drawn us to magical World of ICT,WEB 2 and WEB 3.The most important side of this project was that as well as students, teachhers learned,so we have been excited in every stage of PMP. Our main aim was making learning and teaching easy for students and teachers so we all needed this project. We know that there was a great gap in teaching English in our education systems. If there was not, today students can use English effectively in real life.It was not enough to fill students’ braiin with facts,it was essential to support these facts with practice.Regarding the principle “the more you practice, the more you learn”,we support our students to learn by living. In this project, after learning by living ,students put into their knowledge in practice. This is possible with visiting different countries, meeting new people and recognizing new cultures.During our mobilities we organised many of activities for students and teachers. And cultural interaction provided automatically. With this project, we expected to fill in the gaps in teaching English. And we know that it was necessary to teachers be equipped with todays’ most used ICT tools,WEB 2 tools and WEB 3.In the process of PMP we studied on ANDRAGOGICAL,CONSTRUCTIVIST and “CONNECTIVIST” APPROACH to build active, experiental, authentic, relevant learning into the classroom structure. And we have been taken steps and move to a more connected, creative education.
