Project Summary

PICTE-HIV is an educational project in the field of sexual education. It is aimed at children, youth, teachers and health professionals in order to provide them with a set of tools that will allow them to deal with and / or participate in Proactive Infection Control.
This program is innovative, actual and dynamic, replicable and adaptable to the different contexts and local realities involved, with potential for transferability to other European contexts.
The project consists of the training of 30 professionals in the PICTE-VIH program – sexual educational program, focused on HIV / AIDS prevention. In turn, these professionals will be disseminating agents of training with about 400 children / young people.
The project aims to:
– Implement a sex education program focused on HIV / AIDS prevention, and create a manual of good practice for educators and practitioners working on these issues.
– Contribute to the development of the quality of educational practices in the field of sex education.
– Increase the availability of educators and health professionals to the importance of sex education in a preventive logic
– Increase the knowledge of young people about infectious diseases, promoting healthy behaviors and attitudes.
 – Promote cooperation between different entities from different countries in different areas of intervention (NGOs, public agencies, companies)
We hope to raise awareness about sexual education issues and the importance of early intervention in educational settings to prevent future risk behaviors.
