Project Summary

The topic „bee good“ is up-to-date and is part of the overall theme „climate change“. Bees have a key role in the biodiversity and are essential in our ecological system. The massive decline of wild bees and honey bees has an enormous impact on the extinction of species of fauna and flora. The species extinction is man-made and the effects of our actions already apply to our present generations.
The everyday life of our students is nowadays mainly affected by digital media and there is barely room or time for natural experiences. Furthermore, many teenagers have little interest in environmental topics and not enough knowledge about flora and fauna.
With the project we would like to encourage the students, their families and the teachers to a eco-friendlier behaviour and awareness. They should be enabled to a future-orientated thinking and acting. It is essential to transport the importance of sustainability as a self-evident part of our education and to implement this into our daily (school) routines.
The project should be supported because the topic is now as important as he hasn’t been before because the decline of the bees population is already proven. In working together with a school from a different country we will be able to see how others deal with this problem.
Students from different classes of each school at the age of 12 to 16 years will take part and cooperate in project-orientated lessons.
Each learning activitiy will be carried out with 18 students.
Our students will take part in an active and practical way with a specific aim.
During the project work a variety of products will be produced and learning units will be developed.
By publishing the work on the project and the results we can reach more with the importance of this topic.
In taking part in such a project we would also like to widen the students horizons, them to be open-minded towards new people and learning methods and we are convinced that actively taking part in a work group in an Erasmus+ project especially with this topic will have longlasting positiv effects for their future and learning.
