Project Summary
Sector: ADULT
The existing conflict between work, maternity, family and new mother’s poor treatment in workplaces prevent more than 650, 000 mothers from applying for a new job or coming back to their previous occupation after a maternity leave.
Furthermore the current financial crisis made new mothers’ job occupation worse than before. The percentage of unemployed mothers is increasing more and more, many studies say.
OBJECTIVES
GENERAL: fill the working gender gap and promote the reentry of women and new-mommies in workplaces
SPECIFIC:
1. Create an entrepreneurship aptitude among women
2. Reassess and Act on Cross Competences (REACT) – boost interpersonal competences to build a fertile network among women
TARGET: Women forced to leave out jobs for or after maternity due to a non-supportive working and social system around them.
In concrete REACT wants to create a set of simple and user friendly fiches for women in Europe, to empower them in using new Innovative tools to encourage their return to the labour market.
This project idea take inspiration from a true story: Cecilia, worked in a big company. After she got pregnant she lost her job and was exluded from the labour market. But she was gifted of entrepreneurship attitude and she founded a new Company. Today her startup is valued 2 million euros and she created work for 25 women.
Cecilia is endowed with attitudes and skills that have allowed her to REACT, but many women don’t have this attitude. Our project foster woman attitude to entrepreneurship.

Impact:
provides a great opportunity for the establishment of new female entrepreneurship
improve the rates of women’s employment after postpartum period;
reduce Barriers to came back to work;
boost employability of women;
Thanks to the e-learning contents, women will develop specific professional skills into their area of interest: the competence of learn to learn, communication and digital skills, spirit of initiative and awareness and cultural expression.
