Project Summary
The submission of our application was motivated by several factors: most importantly, in accordance with the spirit of our time and our internal needs, environmental awareness, a healthy lifestyle and the pursuit of sustainability are important for all three institutions. We have all taken steps to do so, but we feel the need to do more for our natural and social environment than we can. That is why we consciously look for the opportunities that contribute to the renewal of our pedagogical methodological culture, to the foundation of our environmentally friendly way of life, and to the development of an approach to social responsibility. Even in the project partnership, we see the possibility of learning and renewal. We are institutions with a unique image but similar principles. Our goals are common in the field of environmental awareness, but the path to realization is different for all of us. Sharing individual methods and tools, adapting them to local specificities, and creating common methods and tools will give new impetus to our pedagogical practice, encourage changes in attitudes and the search for new ways. The partner of our previous successfully implemented Erasmus + program was the kindergarten of Csíkszentdomokos. We have built close professional and friendly relationships with our colleagues there, which we have been nurturing and maintaining ever since, and are looking for opportunities to continue working together professionally. As they live in the heart of Transylvania, they are surrounded by rich national, cultural and natural treasures, to which they give special attention to protect. We would like to transfer this deep commitment, patriotism, and sense of responsibility from them during the implementation of the project, and to pass it on to our children in the spirit of sustainability, to preserve it for the future. We came into contact with the kindergarten of Oradea through the University of Debrecen, as both institutions are the practice places for future kindergarten teachers. Our natural environment, hence the problems to be solved, are similar, so we can look for solutions together during the cooperation. All three institutions pay special attention to creating equal opportunities for disadvantaged children and families, so the three institutions share their experience in this field and jointly seek new ways to catch up with these families. The steps of the implementation process: the assessment of needs and requirements and the search for partners were followed by the formulation of common goals: the establishment of the need for environmental awareness and sustainability, the creation of equal opportunities for disadvantaged children and families, and professional renewal and exchange of good practices. In connection with these, the formation and development of the basic skills of the participants in the project is also one of our goals. For the 24 months of the project, we planned 8 mobility partner meetings, the content of which was developed in consultation with the three partners. The kindergarten in Hajdúsámson and Csíkszentdomokos will receive its partners 3-3, while the kindergarten in Oradea, which will be a new partner, will receive its partners twice. During the mobilities, all three institutions will present their good practices related to the red letter days related to the topic, their unique pedagogical methods, with special emphasis on the above-mentioned priorities. We have prepared a precise implementation plan for the schedule of partner meetings. The milestones of the implementation are the personal meetings, between which we also develop specific activities. These programs are implemented by all three partners in their own environment, within their network of contacts, and then they regularly inform the participating partners about the implementation process and results. We document the entire project process and make it available to stakeholders. As planned, we will create joint products with which we will enrich our methodological toolkit and make it available to other educational institutions, thus realizing some of our dissemination activities. Our goal is social responsibility and the formation of a positive attitude towards our environment, to set an example. To this end, we are expanding our dissemination activities. We publish our results in the local and regional digital and print press, on the websites and community pages of institutions and municipalities. Our long-term goal is to create a healthy, livable environment in close cooperation with our maintainers, minimizing the environmental impact we cause: use of renewable energy sources, contacting local suppliers, use of environmentally friendly cleaning products, increasing green areas, preferring natural materials and equipment, selective waste collection, composting, recycling, conscious rethinking of consumer habits, and incorporating all of these into institutional strategy documents.
