Project Summary

Recycling is one of the most common of all environmentally beneficial activities. Schools play a major role in the education of tomorrow`s consumers and decision makers. In our project we involved our pupils, staff and local society and authorities in reducing the amound of waste produced by our home, school and town and this gave them a broader perspective and started them thinking wider responsibilities to both society and the environment. it was not only project about local ecology but because target students compared different countries and their data was reach a global aim as well. The next step was taking care of energy and water using many activities out of the school. On the other hand during three years of project all participants learnt how to be an active citizen and promote healthly lifestyle. The principal aims of the project “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle – with joy of learning” were to build new relationship among young people in Europe, improving the attainment of young people, particularly those at risk of early school leaving as well as focus on local environment, pollution, recycling waste and green thinking. This project made people interested in and increase their knowledge about ecology and earth energy as ways to fight climate change. Ecology. recycling and good preservative practices are well accepted in our societies, but in the day by day of our schools before the project we didn`t notice that our students, although they really know problems of the environment preservation they didn`t take this issue as a part of their life. now after the project we all see that this changed for better. The project had a longer-term multiple effect and sustainable impact both within and outside the participating school (e.g. in other schools or in the community). For pupils, these activities integrated them into the curriculum in the long-term perspective. In that way, the project benefited all the learners of the participating schools.
In our project we involved students from 12 till 18 years old, teaching staff, parents and local society in many different activities, like: researching, observations, experiments. As a teachers we planed activities correlated with neurodidactic so they were more atractive for all partners and we learnt more. We improved our communication English skills, developed digital knowlegde and used open educational resources. Our staff was strengthen their professional profile and they incorporated new teaching methods or tools and expanded digital learning.
Acitivties in the project promoted creativity, collaboration, equality, partnership and cooperation with local authorities. We knew that the best tool and most commonly used language to communicate globally in the fields of music, computers, media.is the English language. Our ultimate goal was, in the future, to be able to express ourselves in English. Project was based on common mutual topics which motivated both students and staff alike to explore, exchange and learn thus tackling concerns over general environmental problems and health. We involved students in planning, implementation and evaluation which in turn produced a greater impact on students competencies. We integrated a crosscurricular European theme into the students`school lifeand that increased motivation to achive common goals. During our partnership, team work among teachers and students from different countries also gave a unique opportunity to experience the European dimension.
During the project we produced lots of products that can be used by other interested in the topic even after the project finish: teachers lessons plan, webside with all the materials, play… The project intended to be a good example for other schools, to work in the same direction. As well as it tries to spare the environmental protection issues as the students involved on it live their own lives and apply all they lived and learnt in the project.
