Project Summary

We have successfully managed to do what we set out to do. We had 20 students and their 2 accompanying teachers come to Norrtälje,Sweden, and Rodengymasiet on the autumn of 2017 they in May 2018. We also had 20 Swedish students and their 2 accompanying teachers go to Le Vigan, France, and Lycée André Chamson in March 2018.

Before traveling students connected via Skyoe and got to know each other even more using their own social media applications. They also prepared for the final product, the filmed news reports, by gathering information about sustainable development issues through an online Google survey. When the Swedish students arrived in Le Vigan we placed them in mixed groups of 4 with the French students and then they got time to start working on the project and doing their filmed interviews with people in Le Vigan and Montpellier (see more details in the attached file “Young Reporters for the Environment 2017-2018”). This has resulted in a number filmed news reports on sustainable development. The students have increased their awareness on sustainable development issues when producing these films.j
