Project Summary
Science and technology have been changing rapidly nowadays.Countries are investing in these areas considerably. The qualities of the new generations have been changing to cope with the new era.Current and future generations are supposed to make use of available technology sufficiently, keep up with the developments adequately, create new products based on the new advancements in technology and scientific data.To attain an advanced technology,it is needed to raise qualified generations whose creativity has been encouraged and to support the learning environments/projects.Cooperation between countries is needed to improve the technology. This project is a great opportunity for this cooperation between our 5 secondary schools.
Robotics is one of the fields in technology used in education.Robotics occupies an important place in that it creates learning environments in which learners can develop their mental activities and reveal their potential skills.LEGO sets are often used in education.
Learning environments formed with robotics lego activities have positive effects on such fields as creativity, problem solving abilities,communication/collaboration.
We want to develop students’ observation, thinking, programming, communication and research skills and get creative by combining learning and fun/increase student knowledge and skills in the fields of linguistic skills/STEM,use innovative teaching methods, new information/communication technologies, reduce early school leaving by offering motivational education.
Teachers will create new learning educational environments more attractive for children by the use of new equipment.
Teachers/students will increase level of digital competence and be motivated to participate. The staff will improve their teaching skills, experiences and implementations by means of the new competences they will have.
We will create products with the cooperation of the partner schools that have different backgrounds/experiences in robotics in a European context. The project will give us a great opportunity to share experiences and develop our collaboration skills. We will have such products as pocket calendar, journal, videos,a logo, slide shows, digital albums,e-book of project, dissemination platforms and tools, school events to showcase our work, online and hand-made posters using ICT,arts to display at school,PPT and innovative presentations.
The partners have been doing national projects.Good practices will affect their ongoing/future projects.Schools will have European added value. We will use etwinning and Web 2.0 tools. The project will develop ICT skills.
The participants will acquire lifelong skills of establishing an inclusive society,teaching/learning skills having cultural respect/European added value.
