Project Summary

Context of the project: The Project in its whole has been completed with a successful achievement in each objective that was planned. It has been implemented with new activities and results, particularly in the use of technology with products made by students. The Project has been developed in the school context involving the school population, both students and teachers, not only the ones taking part in the Project. In fact, we involved several classes doing physical activity during the day, practicing yoga exercises to improve concentration, with the collaboration of teachers that attended the training course about hatha yoga. This course, offered also to students, created enthusiasm and benefits of doing physical activity, with the result that they asked for the future, the opportunity to practice all the year an additional extra course.
Project’s objectives: The objectives were reached, and the activities proposed were well fitted with them. Students acquired knowledge and skills about the safe performance, especially in natural environment, but those skills are transversal ones, so they have transferred their ability in another context. Understanding the role of physical movement aimed at being in mental, emotional and social wellbeing, across the experience in the project, and the theoretical study of these factors, as producing personal exercise plan for several needs and types of people.
Activities: All the activities were based on the cooperative method, students were always grouped to work together with the result of an outcome with the contribution of all. They learnt how to include and help the less skilled encouraging and supporting them. Additionally, they solved problem with the comparison among others, thinking together for the best solution. These are lifelong skills, that accompanied with the technology skills, are the based for a future adult. The methodology used was always mixed because the activities included body performances, connected with the competences and the thinking skills. Learning new knowledge in a whole complexity is proved to be the best way to fix in your brain and recall them for the future.
Tangible and intangible results: During this period the teachers of the involved class, noticed a growth in the students’ behaviour, particularly when they returned from the Romanian mobility. They behaved with more respect, more consciousness, less anxiety in school life. The intangible results were reached, and families found them changed as well. They improved the language skill, due to the use of English with partners, both in writing and speaking, because they were in touch across eTwinning, and others social platform. We had to change some dates in our planning, comparing with what we wrote at the beginning. This due to the fact that school has an own life, with projects, activities, conferences, and we had to modify the period of the training course with teachers, and the delivering of some outcomes with students. However, we could produce anything in the tangible results, videos, eBook, poster, chart, wellness path, orienteering path with geocaching App, website. The communication among the partners was constant and positive across skype, mail, eTwinning, for monitoring, sharing ideas, solve logical problems, and we were able to support each other and spread enthusiasm in moment in which we found ourselves in challenging situation.
Longer-term benefits: Students have learnt the use of several technical tools, and they will use them with other teachers and subjects. Particularly, now that we are working mainly online, because of the COVID19, and they are required to produce digital outcome. The everyday habit to do exercise for staying health and fit, it becomes a need for most of them, so they will involve friends and family with it. The benefit for teachers has been the acquisition of new methodology, team collaboration, training course, friendship, in one word, the change. When there is a change in the way of working and learning, that is the main benefit.
We have to underline that during the Italian mobility, all students and teachers spent three days in our town and four days to the mountain, how we planned at application stage. We tried to safe money to make possible this double mobility in Italy, to reach the total budget of 15.816 euro
