Project Summary

SUMMARY-SEASONAL
Our project focused on seasons connected with Science and seasonal traditions/cultures in partner schools.In our lives,seasons have a powerful force.They affect the activities we do, the foods we crave, the clothes we wear and quite often, the moods we are in.So firstly our pupils had to learn seasons’ phenomena scientificly such as temperature,cold,rain,flood,humidity,pressure,snow,weather forecasting etc.They had to know the answer of effects of hot and cold weather on peoples’ lives and traditions so on culture.we had to call traditions as treasures.Treasures must be preserved and passed to new generations.To live in a peaceful world,we had to know and understand other countries treasures.The project had 6 schools.English school left the project after the approval of our project.
Project works/results along two years obtained through English/Science clubs and an Activity Plan prepared
Our objectives were:
*developing language skills of students in five participating schools for 3 years and cooperation with foreign schools
*enhancing the interest in scientific and cultural activities of students in five participating schools
*promoting national identity, values and traditions, tolerance, cultural and social differences
*improving cooperation skills and ICT competencies
*ensuring that schools were multicultural and support education at the national and international level
Participants:were teachers of teachers:Science,Social Studies,History,Music,Drama,Craft,Technology and Design and ICT,project contact persons.
Activities were :
*cooperation and collaboration online via chat,VCs(zoom),emailing and text messaging
*organization of videoconferences on-line using socialization platforms as zoom in order to organize the meetings
*learning activities in school, Language Club and Science Club, with weather, season, customs theme
Tasks were to use modern techniques- portfolio, journal of activity, map minding, brainstorming, learning by doing and oudoor activities.
Students and teachers searched for and use websites, email, zoom application during corona days,online dictionaries, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,Movie Maker, Paint or Photoshop, they posted materials on different websites ( Youtube Channel,Project’s site)
*organization of seminars and workshops during 5 transnational meetings,
*organization of producing material results – weather, season, customs theme
*organize presentations of national educational systems
Our methodology was :
*setting goals and desired effect
*creating activities and schedules
*organization of partners – responsibilities
*organizing presentation and introducing the project (conferences, local meetings with teachers, mass media)
*observing and evaluating the quality of activities (reports,activity journals, direct and indirect feedback of interested persons)
*organizing international meetings (seminars, workshops, exhibiting the results of the students)
*dissemination activities (mass media, methodological meetings, distribute project material to other teachers)
Results we had :
project’s logo,motto,song,Erasmus corners/walls,Christmas/New Year celebrations, presentations about our school,city,country,national education, 2 conferences (initial and final), project’s magazine, project’s website,facebook group,youtube channel,etwinning twin space,2 project’s calendars(2019 and 2020), 2 DVD(1st year and 2nd year’s club works),1 booklet,club portfolies, brief dictionaries, drama,photos, videos, drawings, esssays.
For sustainability we used: Language Club, Science Club, website,facebook group
Our impacts were: pupils got stronger awareness and appreciation of sciences by pointing out its utility in their lifelong learning and day by day activities and develop linguistic competences in English (exploited all through the project, in all registers), motivated to study European languages by communicating with their friends from the project in English during transnational activities, emails, zoom apps and mobile phones.
For the Long term benefits we aimed ;
*developping our students interest for scientific and cultural activities
*improving pupils’ results of learning by adopting multi- and transdisciplinar techniques and strategies learned and shared with the pupils and teachers from different educational systems on transnational meetings
*improving linguistic skills and developping an European linguistic consciousness using different languages
*discovering and using the ICT instruments
*teachers and pupils learned about each countries natural phenomena of each season
