Project Summary

THEATRE is in the main focus of this project trusting in its capacity to improve our students’ self-confidence and self-esteem.According to conclusions of OECD analysis about basic skills, current articles of the practitioners and the swot analysis of the chosen partners’ observation on their students, lack of their basic skills and self-confidence affect students mainly in means of success both in education and life. Therefore, we framed this project on boosting basic skills, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, responsiveness to actual social, linguistic and cultural diversity; improved levels of skills for employability according to defined important priorities of EU Erasmus+ programs.
To overpass the weakness of basic skills, we have decided to develop our students’ communicative skills, self-confidence and provide them valuable opportunities to international interaction, participation in multiple educational events and self-expression. Since theatre is an important part of cultural life that presumes many features of art, we aimed to force basic skills go further through the effectiveness of this project. The participants will improve their artistic skills by acting in the educational theatre plays as well as their literacy and writing skills by writing their scripts. In addition, they will also develop their ICT skills by recording and editing. Using English both in writing scripts and performing they will have the chance to improve their language skills.
The scripts will entirely be written by the students and these plays will be recorded and disseminated to other schools in the community, to local authorities, to the Directorate of National Education and be shared on EST database.
Our main aim is to provide a specific activity for every single student of our school and peer environment apart from ordinary daily school timetable.
This project has been designed through negotiation and as an agreement of all partners. The partners are from PL,RO,IT,TR and GR. These partners are chosen among various organizations from different countries from Europe by the overall coordinator as they proved to be the most convenient partners for the project special topic. As partners RO, TR and PL are not so experienced in EU projects and they will qualify because they have more students with special education needs challenges but partner IT is experienced enough also GR has a Erasmus+ experience in EU projects and will provide benefits and conciliation to the other partners regarding their achievement to boost basic skills and self-confidence.
