Project Summary

Thinking outside of “fixed” gender roles in one of the many challenges of modern times. Men can have long hair or stay at home on parental leave whereas women can become successful business women and do not only have to focus on raising children.
However, this is often still only a utopian idea or perception of the world – the reality looks far more sinister!
Thus, this project aims at investigating, analyzing and combating these roles in a cross-cultural approach in an international minded setting with modern media as teenagers – the adults of tomorrow – heavily rely on these to create certain images about men / women.
We therefore strongly focus on gender equality as a human right, international collaboration and advancing the use of English and IT skills to achieve this.
