Project Summary

Two special needs schools for children with mental and psychological disabilities would like to start a longterm pedagogical experience exchange within the framework of the Erasmus+ project.

Our Spanish partner school Colegio Publico de Educación Especial Alborada focusses on new technologies and pictogram communication.

Our focus at our school – Sonderschule Graz Rosenhain – lies on funding and supporting autism and sports for disabled children.

Several activities serve as an opportunity – as seen during mutual school visits from Spain and Austria and during teaching seminars – to gather and implement new experiences in the area of severe disability pedagogy.

Also planned are a variety of activities, such as visiting with a small group of children, participation in sports events with the support of the Special Olympics, plus various educational projects on location.

By hosting informational events for parents, special schools, and governmental entities we are creating opportunities to spread our new experiences and technologies to as many people as possible.

Furthermore, we are planning a true longterm relationship between both schools after the project has officially ended. The important centerpiece represents the two way visits between the spanish and austrian pupils with raised special needs.

For our pupils we want to provide an oppertunity to benefit of the international exchange first hand.
