Project Summary

Strategic Human Rights meeting point is an association project to exchange good practices and focused on social organizations professionals.
The proliferation of hating speeches with more power of influence specially between young collectives and the socio educative obligation of the organizations to promote community actions to influence and sensitize about Human Rights makes that we must adapt usually to the reality. We must focus young people in the centre of every action to convert them as an important element, with the development of activities and also from the first phases of conceptualization and design. For this reason, transformation strategies and adaptation to new uses and young languages must do collaboratively.
The creation of a net with the objective to exchange tools and resources promotes a better training of human teams and an improvement of the quality of the actions focused to young people, especially with young people with risk of social exclusion. The formative fortification and the enlargement of professional skills allow to offer a better answer of these collective needs.
This association project is raised like an important tool in the learning process of the professionals of the different associations to exchange good practices and know deeply projects driven for every partner declared as good practices. These examples are discussed and analysed with the objective to be debated and learn new work methodologies.
Every member of the net has presented previously a good practice that will be a learning subject in every meeting:
-Greece, a pioneer project focused to young refugees that wants to eradicate the unemployment though of the formative training though art. It allows to train the target population, improve their employability and work the social inclusion in the own community.
-Romania has chosen one of its education programs for gipsy young people through
theatre of the oppressed. This initiative is developed though reflection sessions that incorporate ‘normalized’ young people with beneficiaries’ young people. This methodology gets to improve the young people learning and reduce the school dropout.
-Poland, a pioneer experience focused to work Human Rights through community sensitization with homeless young people. This project contributes an accompaniment during the social inclusion process though the implication of the collective in the organization of different cultures and artistic of the own municipality.
-Portugal has chosen its project ‘Social Street Work’ that works interrelating young people that have abandoned their studies with different local artists. Through experimentation and learning appears a synergy between both collectives that finishes in an improvement of the life itinerary of the youth group.
-TACC will offer the project ‘Joves i Cooperació’ that allows since 2016 to work awareness actions with Sahara population and the inclusion of young Sahara people that have abandoned the refugee camps and live in Catalonia.

The objectives of the project are detailed as follow:

GENERAL OBJECTIVE:
To increase the training of the professionals and members of the network in the technical and methodological quality of the actions that favor the community work against the discourse of hatred and the promotion of the DD. Hh.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
-Promote professional development of professionals and entities.
-To promote cooperation and collaboration between the different entities to provoke synergies between them.
-To promote transversal cooperation and the acquisition of new knowledge through collaborative work among all the professionals and entities that are part of the agreement.
-Reinforce the links between professionals and entities.
-To give visibility and to put in value the importance of community work through new and innovative methodologies.
-Encourage the role of young people linked to each entity and the project.
-Identify new challenges and factors that influence the youth population and the proliferation of hate speech.
-Consolidate and increase the actions promoted by the partners of the project, beyond the validity of the strategic network

The objectives are achieved through the implementation of a working plan consistent and coherent with the working plan designed. Coordination, monitoring and evaluation will allow to generate the expected results and the expected impact.
